Get a gravity fed water purifier. My is ALEXAPURE. I never drink or cook with tap water. I'm a healthy 75, going on 76 years old. And I have canned enough food that I had to turn the 3rd bedroom as a food storage room! I'm good for at least 7 years. I still buy milk. And i'm hung up on brioche bread and buns. Love them. BLT's on a brioche bun for lunch today.

Stock up on bar soap, it doesn't go bad like liquid soap, and you can, in a pinch, use it in your hair. Contrary to popular belief, it's how they used to do it before shampoo was invented 😏 get your cleaning supplies while you can. Get an extra bottle of everything. Rule of thumb 😏

When I was around 12 years old I used FELS-NAPTHA for shampoo! And everything else. Was cheaper than the other products. As a former hairdresser I found that most people use far too much shampoo. Use the least amount you can get away with. Why send it all down the drain?

INCONTINENT supplies are going through the roof. EYE DROPS/Artificial tears have jumped since the cheap ones have gone, a lot from recalls, but cheap store brands have disappeared, (like at Kroger). Makeup and beauty implements, even decent emery boards, are high, IF you can find them. Bras are climbing, even at Walmart; the better ones are crazy-priced in department stores. Socks are going up. Have you seen the price of Jello and pudding, let alone specialty items, like tapioca? INSANITY. There are no 'cheap' laundry detergents anymore.I used to use the cheap ones for rugs and rags. So much has changed. Peopel need to load up on grains before and beans before they go through the roof, and learn which make complete(meat-equivalent) proteins

Now until the end of August, Walgreens brand body wash, mouth wash, feminine hygine products, vitamins, over the counter medicines, children's medicines are buy 2 get the third free. You can mix and match products through out the store. This week Arm and Hammer laundry soap is $1.99 and Walgreens brand ziplock bags are buy 1 get 2 free making them .93 cents a box!

I stocked up colgate toothpaste, the dollar tree brand of sensitive teeth toothpaste, zest bar soap, suave body wash, suave and white rain and any other shampoo that smelled good and had a good price per ounce, 300 count packs of cotton swabs. I have a BUNCH of these items since they don't go bad. My favorite shampoo used to be Pantene(this was in the 80s/90s) because it worked well and smelled SO good! I used it on my big, beautiful Sheltie I had back then. As I recall it didn't cost much more than the cheap brands like suave, so it didn't bother me that it took so much to bathe my dog. Now the high tier brands like Pantene and Herbal Essence are priced crazy high. That's why I stocked up so much at Dollar Tree.

I got 2 large packs of large pork steaks at my hometown grocery store that still has a butcher shop for $2.19 a pound. There were 4 large pork steaks in each pack. So i took them out of their packaging and seasoned them and put 2 steaks in each freezer bag which will be 4 meals. These are thick meaty pork steaks cut in store. It was $17.00 total for 4 meals. Great deal.

Just a suggestion. Watch for Boston butt roast to go on sale, often only $.99 to $1.99 per pound. If that butcher will custom cut on his bandsaw for free, that is the source of pork steaks. Way cheaper!

Danno, I just checked my mouthwash stash ... I think all were bought since December. Listerine 1000 ml; Equate 1000 ml; Wellness Living ( not sure where I bought it) 1000 ml. About 6 weeks ago I bought Crest Whitening (BOGO50%) 946 ml. I noticed the other day that Dollar Tree had Lavoris 500 ml. Yes, I try to stay stocked up on my oral care and other hygiene items 😊

Have you tried the powder proteins? I’m not a bariatric patient, but I wanted to increase my protein for work and exercise. I mix a scoop of the chocolate powder protein into 3/4 cup Greek vanilla yogurt and stir. It tastes like chocolate pudding and is 34 grams of protein for cheap. Don’t know if this would fit into your dietary plan. But it’s worth a try.

Brthday gifts are important christmas gifts etc..i did the homemaid and hand made . not all can be. We restored a large doll cradle and gifted it with plush dolls and animals. Made woodblocks from scrap lumber sanded, painted put in a childs wagon. Gifted. From my sons first house..😊

I coupon and stock up when the deals are there. A few years ago, I started stocking up my house for when shit hits the fan. In 2022, I saved our family over $6k in the products you have mentioned. We just moved states, so I had to get rid of lots of laundry detergent, dish soap, and food that I was stocking up too. As for dog food, I make our dog his food with our instant pot. Rice, cheap meat with bone (bone removed after cooking), left over veggie raw veggie scraps, eggs with the shells broken up, garlic and turmeric. He seems to have more energy compared to what I was normally giving him. I'm able to get wet dog food nearly free and sometimes I get paid to take it out the store. Also just last week I got an $19 bag of dog food for $3 after phone rebate apps. Ps I was recommend by the vet to give our dog (10 years old and had him for the last 2 years) soft foods with a bit of kibble.

Finally got out to get my grocery, over a week late to give them time to restock from Beryl. Wolly World is the closest, I'm already doing my best to survive heat and humidity, was close to having to open my small pantry stash that I'm very slowly trying to build up a couple of cans at a time. AKA beggars can't be choosey. Had to almost literally close my eyes, bought only the meat/veg on my list. At least the plain crackers got restocked so I didn't have to stand there gapeing in shock again. But what really floored me was the balance on my SNAP, which I expected to be lower. I've only been on SNAP for a year and haven't looked at the details, no idea how they work it. All I know is the balance was higher with absolutely zero changes on my part. My interpretation is that they must be adjusting because the cost of food keeps going up?

I have to tell you I went to my local store yesterday to pick up a few things so I thought I would check the price of olive oil. Store brand was $64 for 2 quarts!!! I have never seen anything price that high in a grocery store EVER other then meat! How in the world are people going to make it. I switched to avocado oil and I actually like it better. I am going to pick up a couple more next time I am at Costco because I am sure the demand for it will go up as well as the price because people are switching to it because who can afford olive oil?
