edit: "christmahanaquansica" maybe? there are literally *thousands* of known holidays set on the winter solstice, hell, christmas isn't even the only _christian_ holiday that has been there: christmas and easter switched places at some point because they thought it would help with gettin' them converts. assuming "open skill" works anything like MMR then the numbers are going to inflate as the playerbase gets larger, you're essentially all "betting" points on each match with the odds weighed by your relative point totals such as that a similar mmr means about the same change for either side but a very different mmr means the higher has more at risk and less to gain while the lower has less at risk and more to gain. as the total points in play go up so too does the total area under the bell curve you're all jockeying to climb. that's the gist of it anyways, the actual math can get to be fairly different depending on what adjustment system you use to accomodate players entering and leaving the total pool and/or going inactive/reactivating. sooo, yeah, as BAR gains playercount the same skill level relative to the rest of the playerbase returns a larger number...maybe BAR is also doing stuff with the after match stats? some players seem to think it is REALLY important to try to pass their losses off onto their allies as they get nocked out of matches but that might just be general assholery and that confusing statpadding idiocy I see in a lot of pvp obsessants not something with any actual reason behind it.

"christmas and easter switched places at some point because they thought it would help with gettin' them converts." Can you tell me where you got this from? I've never heard this one before. I also want to know what other christian holidays are around this time too. An interesting topic.

@MurfMB the "gettin' them converts" part is probably passed down conjecture I'm repeating but easter and Christmas really did switch dates... though come to think of it I don't think I've ever thought to check if it was _called_ easter back then? the holiday centered around the birth of Christ was originally on easter and the one about the RE-birth of Christ was on the solstice, we *still* have a bunch of mix and match parts going on in the mythology for those two. those were the only christian holidays I mentioned so I'm not sure what you meant by the end of that? the solstices being important is nearly universal among the various cultures of the world and the winter solstice in particular is commonly the big one for some form of holiday/ceremony/observance/etc since that is the one where you aren't going to be stopping in the middle of something important to do it.

"christmas and easter switched places" - this is not true at all. Jesus was crucified right before passover festivity as the gospels mention that. Thats easter. Birth was always dated to winter time between end of December and beginning of January.

The "itch" he's talking about is the desire to play with toys, let's be honest with ourselves :)

Bitrate seems off on this one compared to your other videos, it's pretty blurry (especially the units)
