There are some extraordinarily intelligent theists. You don't have to be stupid or crazy to believe in religion, but it sure helps. In a lot of cases, it's simply a matter of compartmentalized delusion. Belief in religion is a fascinating, incredibly complex psychological phenomenon. And each case is different. It's not nearly as simple as somebody is just stupid or crazy so therefore they believe stupid and crazy shit. Then again, sometimes it is.

You'll have to prove that there is a God first, just like there either is a tree or there isn't. If you can prove that there is an object there and you can prove it meets the definition of a tree, or, if we don't yet have a definition for a tree, you can define that object as a tree. But to answer your other question: Imagination and the need to not be alone, the need for purpose or there to be something after death, something most people have a problem with. Most people (whether or not they believe in a God) struggle or have struggled with these basic questions of existence. 4 - People can get angry, and I can see why your interaction with some Atheists would incite discomfort to say the least. If you are as smug off-camera as you seem on-camera, then your perception of their 'anger' is a reflection of your own attitude towards them. I, however, suspect it's more like being annoyed than angry, but I don't know you personally so I won't judge. Ow, and being angry or not has nothing to do with math... 5 - Churches exist for people that need a place to go to to be with like-minded people. For some it provides a safe harbor, a place of confession, a place for reflection, community or a place of worship. Churches weren't built by (a) God, they were built by (wo)men, just like they are still being built by (wo)men. It is the result of large groups of people following the same beliefs and in need of a building where they can express that without judgement from the outside. Geography has very little to do with that. 6 - This works the other way around as well; If (wo)man would invent a God, what would it look like? If you don't know the answer, look into Robotics ;-) But let's say God exists, and (wo)man was created in his image, then he must be equally mentally unstable and stable and (wo)men. He must be as good and bad, doesn't he? 7 - Evolution. You presume 'human' was the objective, the only result that could come out of evolution. Evolution, as I understand it at least, could very well have caused our species (which we very likely would still call 'human') to have 8 arms, or 2 hearts, or 3 legs. It's the same as when a loved one is going on vacation by plane and the plane crashes into the ocean. People often ask why that would happen to their loved one. The answer is rather simple, if it wasn't your loved one it would have been somebody else's loved one. You really don't want to go down that rabbit hole unless your intend is to go insane, which is why people have invented God (from my perspective). 8 - Atheists that doubt do that, Atheists that want to get rid of this notion that there is a God because other people say so tend to do that, in my case, KZbin recommended this video, and I had a few moments to spare. I think it seems a lot like every Atheist does this because the only Atheists you meet are those that do this. Most actually don't even bother to look or respond to these. It's a lot like flat-Earthers being Christian; Most flat-Earthers are Christian, but hardly any Christian (on the whole) is a flat-Earther. 9 - Another generalisation through personal experience. It's not a rule, not a law, and hardly any Atheist has a neck beard (on the whole). 10 - Good financial descissions. God doesn't create money...we know, because we know where the facilities are that do create money... 11 - Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But seriously, light refracting through the atmosphere etc etc...Do you even go to school, because we covered this when I was like 7 years old... Seriously, this is basic physics. It's the same principle that creates rainbows, holographic stickers, etc. My numbering is based on the order of your video, not your numbering as it simply makes no sense from my perspective.

"Do you believe in the existence of one (or more) god(s)?" Unless the answer is "yes"...you're an atheist. Theists believe in a god. They tell us about this god. We say "interesting story. Seems kinda unlikely. Got any evidence?" Theists, as the ones claiming existence of a thing...(esp since it's extraordinary and not visible) have the burden of proof. And we figure they haven't yet met that burden of proof. So we stick with the default position. Withhold belief until belief has been justified.
