God man. I keep coming back to this video because it's so cool to see actual recognisable songs in reviews. I don't mind a bit of pedal noodling, but you get much more of a sense of the pedal's strengths in context with this kind of review.

thanks mate, much appreciated! I generally review stuff based on my experience of buying a pedal and then thinking errr no what should i play with it :-) Glad you enjoyed this one, lots more planned!

Thank you so much for this video, I love radiohead so much, and I taught myself to play guitar because of them. I haven’t entered the world of pedals and such yet since they’re expensive and daunting, but videos like this one really give me the motivation to practice and become better, and hopefully eventually buy and learn to use pedals! These riffs all sound amazing, just like jonny! :)
@LetsPlayAll2 жыл бұрын
Ah thanks so much, really pleased you enjoyed the vid! Also worth noting that whilst this is a demo for a boss product you can get a lot of similar delay tones from more inexpensive ones if you’re just starting out 😊🤘
@msgesus45182 жыл бұрын
@Lili Martin With effects, I would say the best and cheapest way to start right now is through a DAW (garageband, ableton). Start with reverb and delay effects. But just play around with all the different ones and see if what you hear clicks with any music you listen to. You don't even need to buy the pedals to play around these days 🙂. My first pedal was a cheap multieffect box. That's another cost effective way to get into them. Have fun!

Beautiful demonstration. Im looking at getting a tape echo effect, so naturally im tempted to get one of these for the collection. Unfortunately most the demonstrations i have seen are just showboating solos with it, its nice to actually see how the effect works in terms of context of a song, especially with a band as ace as Radiohead!.

@LetsPlayAll2 жыл бұрын
I haven’t played the new GT series but they’re digital multi effects so you’d get a bunch of effects with those, however the Re2 is a very specific tape delay/reverb based on a classic studio effect that they’ve stuffed into a compact pedal so depends what you’re after 😀

The Re-2 is great for live stuff but I was sad to see they went the "clean and sterile" BBD route, unlike the EP-3 clone MXR did that allowed for dirt, wear and grit (which sounds killer in the studio). The RE-20 self oscillation is spot on though, love that! I made a quick video about theem here if interested: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iHexkmmZpt1optU
@LetsPlayAll Жыл бұрын
rad haven't tried the RE-20 but it did look awesome!

I don't understand your comment. 1) This pedal doesn't contain a BBD, neither does the tape echo it's emulating. 2) BBD delays are anything but clean and sterile.
