I'm 77 years old & look stupid in long hair; but that's okay because I LOVE easy-to-take-care-of short styles and I get LOTS of wear out of them...way more than a few months. Sadly, the grays most brands offer don't have the beautiful streaks, highlighting, and/or roots, etc. that the blonde and brown wigs do. Come on, Brands, the Baby Boomers probably buy more wigs than the younger gals do! Let's take the grays up a few notches!

I totally agree!! Also, the grey wigs have white around the face, which I don't like. My natural pattern is darker around my face, so I prefer at least a rooted grey, which I have not seen.

I have always had red hair and don’t plan to ever go gray. But, I did buy the blonde watermelon shade with roots and I love that wig. I may try some more blondes.

I’m with you! However, I have found that some of the rooted blondes work as well. I was a brunette growing up, but the darker colors make me looked washed out and long hair makes me look drawn and old. I don’t have a salon, near me, where I can try wigs on so it’s a challenge. I wish someone would design an app so we can try on wigs virtually. 😊

Great video, Taz. This was a terrific way to see what a wide selection of short wigs are out there. I saw quite a few that I now want to try. Many reviewers just focus on the long styles but your review of short styles was so helpful. I had long hair for most of my life so going short with wigs was a change for me, and I discovered, suited my petite frame far more than longer styles.

Thanks for this look at shorter wigs. Like you, I could never grow long hair. But, wearing wigs has shown me that I look my best in short hair. But your whole set of videos shows how versatile we can be. There is a wide range of color, length, and texture that suits us. And with wigs, we can choose and not be limited to what our natural hair can do. We can try something different. And if it doesn't work, send it on to somebody whom it might suit better. It can be expensive. But so is a visit to a first class salon. I have loved experimenting with hair. Loved the freedom.

Long hair is a snap to style for me; pony tail, head band, or a braid. Short hair was too much work. I had to curl and spray it to go anywhere. Short wig styles are a total game changer! Thanks for the great over view, Taz. I appreciate your hard work!

I have been a pixie short hair gal from the time I was 16, when I got my shoulder length long hair, with the 1966 flip at the bottom, cut that summer. My highschool sweetheart loved it......and he has always preferred short hair styles on ladies. Since I've started my wig journey because of rapidly thinning hair, especially after menopause, and stopping HRT, I LOVE all the various versions of the "pixie" that are available....like you have shown in your video. Really excellent and useful video, Taz. Not a style there that doesn’t suit you! I realized a long time ago that long styles weren’t for me... In my twenties I kept trying to make them ‘work’ but found them a real hassle and impractical, and actually they never really suited my roundish face shape.. I suppose we all yearn for long flowing locks at some stage in our lives but when I finally decided to have my hair cut short in my early thirties I got so many compliments and felt that I had found my ‘style’. I still have ( most of ) my natural hair which I keep in a pixie cut with longish sides. One day soon I will make the transition to wig wearing. Thanks to your videos I know that when I do , there are plenty of short, sassy, sexy styles to choose from and that there’s nothing to be scared of!

I can surely relate, Taz! Since my bio hair has always been absolutely straight with zero body and VERY fine and thin, short hair was always the worst look for me since it just stuck to my head without any body whatsoever. So even though it was so thin and fine, long hair was my only option since I could put it in a thin ponytail or sorry pigtails. Post menopausal thinning and hair loss only worsened the look. So I went with my “dream hair” of thick longer wigs at first. Short hair scared me to death. But after I braved the scary waters and bought an Ignite by Jon Renau, I was SHOCKED! I actually looked good in it! And my husband loved it! I still buy longer wigs - I still love having really nice long hair but I don’t wear them everyday and save them for special days. My wig collection now has at least as many mid-length to short wigs, along with the once EVER-DREADED Pixies!!! I have grown to love them and the versatility that the shorter styles can offer. And comfort! The take-away? Drop the preconceived ideas and fears, jump in and go for it. 🥰 Thank you for this great video, Taz!!!! Fabulous.

Great video Taz. I usually go to Allure by Jon Renau simply because it’s one of the few large wigs available. I like Voltage but the large is too large and the average is uncomfortable. I get migraines. So I can play with Allure in lots of the ways you showed! Love you, Sharon ❤️xo

Like you, after years of struggling to grow hair, when I decided to wear wigs, all I wanted were medium and long hair. But the practicality of throwing on a short style without so much to fuss over is making me realize, I really could use a couple good short styles. I too wanted just long hair but for it to last you can only wear once in awhile. I have stuck with shorter styles ,not so much pixies, I like beachy waves they fit me and my age 55 and my husband thinks I am sexy in them!!! Have a great day Taz🦋

I've worn my natural hair at a medium (collar bone) length for years, but I was always putting it up because the wind blows it into my face, it gets hot on my neck, etc. Once I began wearing wigs, I'm wearing shorter ones because the fiber is not very conducive to putting up. Plus, I find the short styles are much more flattering than my natural hair pulled back away from my face! I prefer at least 2" at the nape, so I don't wear super-short. My current favorites are Toni Brattin 'Impressive' and 'Casually Chic' for curls - very much like Raquel Welch 'Unfiltered', but a little shorter and better for big heads!

Taz thanks for showing us those cute sexy short wigs! They ALL look great on you. That short wig is very flattering around most faces when there is a few fringes. BY Hugging the neckline it lifts the face ....while the crown gives the lifted height:) Draws the eye upward away from the neck!

I like the idea of doing alot of similar wings in one video. Next time do all those curly, wavy ones that are in the back ground. I bought a nice wig recently, but my regular hair is too thick. I'm seriously wanting to buzz my hair off tho. I have wavy hair, and now i have it shorter....i can't seem to do anything with it. ...except pony tail. I have a hard time getting a cut that gets my hair to cooperate. Plus I'm hot all the time and there's no way I'm putting on the wig that would be even hotter... lol. I haven't worn it yet. If I buzz my hair it would fit better too. Love your videos.

Hi 👋🏻 Taz! I just got my tressalure Charlotte in velvet cream and boy .... it’s super shiny and slippery! How do you get your to look no so shiny or slippery? What I mean by slippery ...it’s limp? If that makes any sense...?

Hmmm.. I didn't have that experience. Try washing it in a combo of wig shampoo and baking soda? Or dry shampoo? This may be some of the variances you can see in this style:-( XOXO

My hair is now white. is there a product that would enable me to paint the front dark roots, so that they blend into my bio hair? I love the dark roots, but its a bad look when my wig slips a bit and the front dark roots show against my bio hair

I am not aware of any products such as this.. I have heard some ladies say they use Clairol "Root Touch Up" for rooting, etc. I do not know anything about it:-) XOXO

Hi Colleen! There are literally over a thousand mid length styles out there.. I suggest you pick your favorite short wig and imagine how it would look grown out into medium length.. is it straight/curly.. does it have a shorter fringe in front.. is it heavily layered shaggy style cut..etc, etc.. and then try to find a mid length wig to match:-) XOXO

TAZSWIGCLOSET it’s in my mail box. Living in a condo I have a separate box with a key for packages. It’s only a few steps away waiting on me. I don’t know why I’m afraid to go get it. My 9 year old granddaughter put a bright pink streak in my silver hair and everyone loved it. Lol. Well, they said they did. 🤷‍♀️ ☺️ Pink is my favorite color. It’ll let you know. ❤️
