U can add boxer engine for generating power, and get rid of heavy battery. China's car manufacturers as Geely, Zekkr etc and Japan's Nissan are doing such hybrids, that don't need any charging. at all.

Different users have different use case scenarios. Adding an onboard gasoline generator does not make sense for this class of SUV vehicle. This is currently Subarus only electrified vehicle in its lineup. All the other vehicles are gasoline. It sounds to me like you don’t like the idea of an EV or have doubt.

@@rylans.5365 Yes we hate EV cus they forced on to buy it, as future cars, what is total BS - future cars are hybrids - ev/hydrogen, current EV stage is only stage to onward transformation, so why should we be forced to buy "prototypes" when we want to jump from combustion gas to hydro-hybrids (end-product), we don't want these ineffective suckers with half of declared by producer range and live span of the battery. Subaru should join into research and development hydro technology with Hyundai, Toyota, BMW.

@@AlexanderTheGreat248 Any laws or mandates(in the U.S) only apply to the sale of new cars. Electric cars not only are the “future”, they’re now. Growth of electric vehicles is at an all time high. Any waning of sales you are observing is simply from legacy automakers who are not familiar with the EV space, and/or are delaying transition for business purposes. And if you read my comment, I states that different users have different use case scenarios. Right now, hybrid may be the right option for someone, maybe plug-in hybrid, or an electric vehicle. There are options, no one is being forced. Electric vehicles have only been around on the mainstream market for a little over 10 years, which is quite a short amount of time, considering that we have already made great strides in areas like range and battery longevity. Of course, there are still many issues like access to charging infrastructure, but the reality is that most EV owners do not have range anxiety. People who do not own an EV often have more doubt about these vehicles than people who own them. In regards to hybrids, we have had hybrids for decades. They are truly a reliable and efficient product that has been a great asset in aiding transition into electrification. Unfortunately hybrid vehicles still do rely on fossil fuels to directly operate the car, so it is not a long term end goal we should be looking at. And to clarify, do you mean hydro as is hydrogen?? While hydrogen fuel cell vehicles will play a role in transportation, rollout has been slow and access to fueling infrastructure is limited.

This!! OMG this. I have a 2020 sti and I will refuse to trade it in for an all electric sti. Give me a 400+ hp hybrid with 300+ mile range and I'll preorder one! Ev's are on the way out. The world and technology isnt ready for it. Dealers can't sell them.

Run away from 2023 Subaru Solterra! I’m experiencing serious issues with 2023 Subaru Solterra electric vehicle. This EV is performing poorly and charging slowly. Cold weather causes about 50% 2023 Subaru Solterra reduction in range. Driving 2023 Subaru Solterra on snow can be dangerous. This vehicle was designed for the Japanese market. 2023 Subaru Solterra is not equipped to handle Michigan winter driving conditions. I was treated unfairly and dishonestly by LaFontaine Subaru dealer.

Don’t even think about buying this stupid overpriced vehicle . Poor and stupid design, very tight driver seat specially for big guys, no back wipers , no spare tire and if any thing happens get ready to lose at least two days to replace it , wondering why dealer don’t have always one or two in 0:17 , very unfriendly app and finally very bad range .
