I always laugh when I see people online saying they are moving to Thailand but have never been there and only know how to say "Hello" in Thai...

@@bryanflowers3563 I lived in Thailand for over seventeen years and like you have seen the negative and positive sides on all levels, but essentially I always go back and will retire in Thailand. It is what you make it, like life in general.

People return home also to make serious money after seeking work in Thailand to support there selves and finding out there is no big money to be found any where plus limitations of jobs foreign people legally are allowed to do. My self been a self employed skilled man use to spend 3 months working in UK then return to Pattaya for 3 months repeating this schedule all year I found to be a very good system to support my life style after spending many years living full time in Thailand.

3 months on and 3 months off is a good compromise. Probably better for most than living here full-time

Brian mate Ive been enjoying your videos for a little while, as someone whos currently selling their business in the UK and moving to Thailand next year the one thing I really really want to know about is how to find partners to form a Thai company? Lets say I'm funding the start up and maybe the investors chip in a nominal amount, whats stopping them getting together with their 51% stake and fucking me? I know theres different types of shares (controlling etc) but how much baring does this have in real life? My goal would be to live in the country for 1+ yrs and depending on who I get to know and trust, maybe give it a go. There is literally NO info about the tricky nature of a farang setting up a Thai company so it could make for good content. All the best Luke
