我曾住在法國5年 現在住在韓國第19年了 我深愛台灣 卻沒能居住在那塊美麗的土地上 常常令我傷感 看到住在台灣的外國人那麼愛我的國家 真的好感動 韓國的民情跟台灣不太一樣 他們比較排外 很保守 很拘謹 住在韓國常常可以感受到來自別人眼光的牽制 無法活得暢快 等孩子長大了 我一定要回去台灣 那塊美麗的土地

Taiwan must be an amazing place to live. I once looked after a patient in Canada. She told me that she is from the best country in the world. I thought she meant Canada but she said Taiwan! I visited Taiwan where my father went to University many years ago. I was blown away by the beauty of Taroko Gorge.

A Canadian priest called mackay went to Taiwan during 1860s. Besides doing his missionary work, he also help to extract teeth if the local people had decayed teeth. He even trekked to the central part of Taiwan on foot from damsui ( in today's New Taipei city ) before the railway was built. Today, People set up Mackey hospital and Mackey medical college in recognition of his contribution to Taiwan.
