For those who want to know why MG line is dying is due to it has not a good return of investment for bandai. Sure they are still selling well in japan, but compared to RG or HG, they sell worse. Not to mention due to their size, it has bad shelf presence in store if it doesn't sell (it take space, it is considered to have long shelf presence), etc. Not to mention housing problem also a factor in japan where 1/100 kit take too much space for japan small residence. Honestly its Japan Recession right now, its making mgs more harder to reproduce and is the reason why Real Grades are getting more advanced since you can have good quality while having the smaller internal frame at lower costs. It's awesome, but its also a bad indicator of how bad the global economy is. Thats why Chinese third party is kicking ass right now. building the sky defender and I have to say, it feels like committing ntr on the PGU. Its so damn good.

Did not see yet in any preview/review, so please tell me. Can you display the the gundam assembled with the corefighter outside? 1.0 had a core block that allowed the corefighter to be displayed outside together with the gundam, but since this one has no core block I'm scared that it must be always inside the gundam if you want to display the mobil3 suit

I was an avid MG collector before and had inky built a few RGs out of curiousity. However, ever since the RG Unicorn came out, I am looking out for new RG releases. As said in the video, the fact that it is a mini-MG and I can have more shelf space for them than MGs, it was a no-brainer for me. I would also point out that when it comes to painting and top coating, my supplies last longer due to the size. It is indeed a balance of price, details, and size.

Question for the review: hoe does it compare to the other 1/144 rx-78-2 and the original rg
@jeanramsis17714 ай бұрын
As someone who wants to make photography projects using Gundams, the 1/100 size is perfect for me as it's easier to be shot using a DSLR camera and do close-ups. The 1/144 scale isn't that good for close shots. Also, the size is just perfect for someone who appreciates clarity and details. RG and fun to collect yes but 1/100 and MG are just so good ❤

My favorite Gunpla kit so far is the RG Zeong, I feel like it's internal design really tells a story about it's in-universe development, with how 2 engines are attached like legs. It makes me want an RG Hyaku Shiki- apparently, in-story, it was originally intended to be a transforming mech, and I'd like to see that reflected in the internals of a kit.

Real Grades is how I started Gunpla. The first was the EW Wing Gundam and that turned out okay, but I'm much more experienced now. My next big project is the RG Unicorn Gundam Phenex. It should be easier since I cannot panel line the gold plating without damaging it. But my next MG project will be the MG OO Qant Full Saber, but only once I can find a metal inner frame to replace the plastic frame.

I started with RG as a small desk decoration. So the 1:144 scale was a conscience choice. But MGSD also becoming a huge favorite. It's like a 1:144 scale body with chibi proportion with a 1:100 head. Maybe it's nostalgia, but for me the favorite RG is still the Mark II. It withstood the test of time and was my first kit that got me hooked to gunpla. For me, the looks of Mark II Gundam was the definitive Gundam look.

Didn't work and made the part's sticky and broke the waist but managed to glue them together and broke the right leg I think. So I'm buy again and this time do it better. So I have practice on making gold. Please use a wearable magnifying glass, and be slow and gentle, don't force it otherwise it will break. Watch were you cut?

One advangtage of RG’s for me since I paint is that it takes shorter time to completely paint work on them, even with lots of parts. They have smaller pieces so covering with paint is faster. And I do love the details of them so I still buy RG’s a lot.

I build RG nearly exclusively! I have yet to try master grade and perfect grade, as I started during the pandemic (mostly watching your videos, Mecha!), but I have to say my favourite of all gunpla kits so far has been the RG Hi-Nu Gundam with second going to the RG RX-93FF Nu Gundam and probably 3rd being a tie between the RG God Gundam, the RG msn-04ff Sazabi and the regular RG Sazabi
@Viichan7774 ай бұрын
If you are going to try a master grade, I'd recommend the mg jegan as it's good looking, easy to pose and starts you off well. Pg you should start with the strike rouge or exia. The rouge is better than the regular strike as you get the pg skygrasper and the stand with it. Only thing I recommend is not to listen to the community and definitely try older mg and pg kits, they did many unique things that modern bandai would never try or give for free, but you will need a Japanese jis screwdriver set.

MG is my favourite for how well they look on a shelf from far away. Not too big to take up the full thing and not too small to be hard to make out what it is. HG and RG just are too small for making them out when looking at them on a shelf but RG is great for when you wanna get close to them and see them. PG just are amazing for making even people not into gundam have their jaws drop a bit at how cool they are and turns the most heads easily for that reason.

RG has always been my favorite line. Two of my first 5 kits I built were the RG Strike Freedom and RG 00. And while the SF has some fragility issues, the 00 is still great and one of my favorites from the line, even if it is older. The main thing that imo makes the line great is that you don’t need to do much if any additional work to make them look amazing. They can always look better after custom work, but oob imo there is no better line.
