I had big AT wheel envy back when I rode a hub board but then I went on a Florida vacation and rode the silkiest asphalt I have ever seen. Now that I have a 2 in 1 board, If I went back to Florida, I would leave the AT wheels at home and just bring a few sets of street wheels.

I've been getting kind of crazy on my longboard lately and am trying to decide which electric board to get. I would like to get a 2 in 1 but I think I would ride the street wheels most of the time unless im at the Moto X track. Street wheels are one of those eye candy things that givesme an urge to collect as many different ones as I can get my hands on. It's fun to change the look and mix them up.
@esk8unity2 жыл бұрын
yep yep! 2 in 1 boards also have more power than a regular street board like a exway flex or a backfire zealot. also, u MIGHT winde up loving all terrain tires. so its good to be able to have the option. i truly love them both. also, 2 in 1 boards can have a larger wheel diameter without wheel bite. most street boards can get wheel bite with bigger wheels. use my discount code when u make a purchase!

For me street wheels feel like I'm a part of the board or the board is an extension of me. AT wheels and cloud wheels the board feels dead or numb. Its hard to explain but that's the best way I can describe it. It is more comfortable but just doesn't feel right. Maybe because I'm coming from learning on a non powered longboard. Better range and more acceleration is a bonus too considering I'm a heavy rider.
@esk8unity2 жыл бұрын
yep. agreed. thats what i meant when im more “in tune” with the board
@umarrauf93312 жыл бұрын
do you also live in a place where all roads are super smooth like the ones in the video ? cause once your going over cracks and footpath gaps for 30-40 minutes, you start hating how much street wheels are a part of your feet
@cbillings62 жыл бұрын
@@umarrauf9331 I ride a mix of things. Cracks and footpath gaps don't bother me. Super rough asphalt on the other hand does suck on street wheels. There are several stretches in my area that feel like they put tar over coarse gravel and that is murder on street wheels. Not only is it uncomfortable but dangerous as the board is all over the place under you. In that scenario I will agree that AT wheels would be better.
@esk8unity2 жыл бұрын
@@umarrauf9331 dm me on IG. my roads are FAR from smooth.: i drive to different residential areas to get smooth roads: every town; every city; every country has a combination of bad and good roads. vibrations just dont affect some riders like others.. almost every single review i put out, i have a segment of how the wheels/board reacts with bad streets. same with this, and same with one of my earlier street wheels titled “i wish i can ride street wheels but my roads are too bad”. check it out
@cbillings62 жыл бұрын
@@esk8unity 100% agree. I will say when you find that perfectly smooth road it’s next freaking level. In my neighborhood there’s a stretch of asphalt that is only about 40 yards. When I hit it all I can think is why aren’t all roads like this! Smooth as glass.

@Sir-Kay9 ай бұрын
Now be honest, was that free wheeling segment of the road a downhill or not? was it a hub motor or riot? I'm never seen any riot freewheel that much. Or was it the board doing all that? Secondly, could you give me your top 3 2 in 1 boards for a 231lb 6"3 guy who craves range but, a but a lil bit of speed won't hurt? by the way I live in Poland so, any links you leave should be shipping to Poland.

when esk8rs ride at wheels very often, it kinda suppresses their street skating skill don't u think? i notice several people prefer at wheels because it of course give the most comfort ride, but because of that they don't experience the fundamentals of street riding. i think learning to ride street wheels on shitty roads is pretty important, that skill gives the better chance to not eat shit often (refer to dru's meepo voyager video🤦🏻♂️). and i totally agree with you about the benefits of 2n1, riding at wheels with street riding experience is way more fun than riding with no street wheel riding skill

I haven't ride a skateboard since I was 15, I'm 46 now but so far so good I would say. Quick question please. I'm weight 175, looking between Caguama 85mm and boosted 105 Cali ride , the new one. I kind wanted to master the street wheels b4 go to AT that I actually thought was very smooth, but didn't get the real riding feeling like been in tune with the skateboard as you like to say. Please give me your thoughts. Thx P.S or should I stick with the 90mm stock from Meepo for a while?
