They not only have traffic and stripmalls, but also the last Blockbuster! There’s an Olive Garden in Redmond, only a short drive away! Bend used to be a livable outpost in the hinterlands. Just enough urbanization. Low rents. That’s all gone now.

The food's not a reason for anyone that moved here from the South, like myself. I love Bend, though.
