Baten Kaitos I + II remaster, which came out last year in june, has an incredibly high time to beat, especially if you are counting both games. One of them has an item called Shampoo, which changes after 336ish hours of unmenued, unpaused, active game time. Its a bit of a meme in the community for it, as it is technically required for 100% but most people actively skip it, as almost everything else can be completed in about 100 hours.

there was a very small game not worth mentioning here, that I spent a lot of time on, you are a flying builder ship on an alien world and you unlock stuff to build and fight with. there are two short campaigns, one more focused on actions per minute, like a traditional rts, and a world conquer mode with different game play, needless to say I ended up playing it for FAR longer than anyone reasonably should, just making things pretty or more efficient. its like a free factorio for me. called mindustry. a long time ago I played a flash game that now resides within the flashpoint preservation project called enigmata steller war, you are a base that flies through sectors, and each sector has enemy ships for you to build turrets to defend against, the turrets have exp, levels, upgrades, yet the game play is pretty active, as you can increase the amount of enemy ships and therefore gold they drop, which means more upgrades, by using active skills like taunt. one of the other skills is just a minefield you can spawn wherever you want. there is an evil empire you are traveling through in order to defeat a bad guy, but each sector has large ships defending them, so you have to go through those. its almost like you become a boss in a bullet hell, but you are on the weaker side. there are rare drops as well, which are turrets or emplacements which have different functionality to the stuff you can just buy whenever. i ended up spending a lot of time on this beyond what a normal person would.

I stopped playing Rebirth to complete Stellar Blade since it seems the FF franchise rather be an arpg franchise now. Remake bloated? i cant even remember grinding in that game, it's pretty linear. Eventually, I found myself so bored with all of the optional stuff that I decided to only do the main story, but by that time, even the main story was boring me. Synchronicity is real... Conjured that Close Encounters moment (though I was picturing UHF) in a YT comment in the last day or 2. Noice.

Balatro is the perfect "at work wasting time on the crapper" game. My only complaint is how slow the game is. Thankfully the dev thought of that and included a speed setting in the menu. Its so good I got it on Steam and IOS lol.

My longest played game is DEAD ISLAND. I have put in hundreds of hours, played all characters and yet never was able to find all collectible items.

Used to. After the new content dropped last month I just lost interest. Was excited. For some reason it just didn’t hit that day and hadn’t since.

@@slamuri2801 I was complete opposite I loved the new content they put in. Minus especially after this past week update where they added more content.. keeps me going I guess 🤷🏽♂️ not done the new content nor have I beat the new boss 10000x like everyone else. 😂 I guess there’s enough to keep myself going.. especially since I literally just got back into gta again lmao!

Wow I feel like I never see anyone talk about the Legend of Heroes games. I happened to come upon a sale for Trails of Cold Steel and really loved it. Eventually played Cold Steel 2, 3, and 4, as well as Trails into Reverie. I wouldn’t call them perfect but they are really good imo. Still need to play Daybreak tho
