You're pushing out tons of content lately. It's great to see it. I'm probably going to ignore back a game, play a game... Good, sound, and logical advice... but sometimes Cathulhu death may die drops at the same time as lands of evershade and cloud spire.... and you gotta be a little illogical. By the way just curious if you didn't own any cathulhu death may die content and you saw that you can essentially get all of it right now (like in their current late pledge) what would you get? I ask because it's applicable to me directly. I have season one retail. I was thinking about getting seasons three and four along with the latest one. I think the addition of artifacts in season 4 is compelling. (One core game may be enough, im just curious about your take)

I've only had one fail which was the Hel board game. They were acquired by CMON and im supposed to be getting a free copy whenever they come around, but there's been no news. Plus i had a pledge for the all-in, which had a lot of cool extras like a separate Tafl game and i don't know if they will be handling that as well.

These days when it comes to backing a game I look back at what I already have in the shelves and storage, board games take up so much room, and going all in is a bad idea on so many levels, creating FOMO on projects these days is one of my pet hates, I really just want to play the base game before I decided to splurge out on all the extras and expansions, I would say 9/10 times the expansions will not see the light of day, unless they go straight in the core box, which I also have a strong opinion of depending on what it is.

Totally get you! It’s like, “Chill out, FOMO!” I just want to enjoy the game without my wallet crying for mercy! Playing the base game first is the way to go for sure!

@@Quackalope A lot of the time these days I try just to get the core with stretch goals and if I like it; then on second run or retail release I'll buy the lot, I done this with Oathsworn, I got the base game, loved it and then on the second print more or less went completely all in with the rest of the stuff, I much prefer doing it that way.

Whoa, 11 months is a long wait! Hope the expansion arrives soon and blows your socks off! I filmed the video a bit back, but these red flags are always good to keep in mind!

No, the game came 11 months ago, after a reasonable wait. The expansion was KSed last May, months after the game arrived, so the wait for that won't be too bad either.

Thank you for this content, I have been advised to release my stuff through kickstarter, but I'm still on the fence with that. I don't feel I'm ready yet. I just don't know yet.

It's completely normal to feel unsure before jumping into crowdfunding. Take your time to research and prepare everything you need. You'll know when you're ready!

Another reason for me to not back is if there was a (1$) prepledge. Some people may like it, but to me it's an anti-consumer move and that makes me not want to back your project.

It's a predatory marketing tactic that preys upon FOMO and the fact that people are more likely to spend more money once they've already invested (any amount) of money. In other words, the "free" mini (or whatever) is the carrot and breaking a psychological barrier is the stick. Now you may or may not be susceptible to this, but a lot of people are. That is the reason they are even offering a pre-pledge.

@@Sammo212 Give us money before you give us money even though you know absolutely nothing about the project. Pre-campaign pledges are a scummy practice invented by launchboom (that they claim assists even though it's a complete lie) and I will never support a campaign that uses them.

11. Anything with the word CMON should be avoided like the plague. LoL. If you buy their products WAIT for local stores or Amazon, as they do NOT care about the Funders.

Ah, the "CMON" effect-like a warning sign for your wallet! I guess some campaigns just shouldn't be invited to the party! While I have been a fan and backer of theirs in the past - I will say they have continued to shift more and more away from their core audience.

@A.E.Konietzky the one caveat I would say is the more novelty parts of zombicide campaigns. Best thing would have been investing in Nvidia stock 5 years ago, next best thing is copies of the ninja turtles add on for zombicide 2e. Some stuff they put out appreciates like crazy.

Yes, retail boxes sometimes appear in retail before backers get their copies. However, it should be noted that retail sales actually exceed kickstarter backer product sales (both in number and revenue). Backers also get a ton of extra content that does not appear in retail. So if you only care about retail content, no, don't back their campaigns. However, it 100% not accurate to suggest that everything backers get is available in retail before backers receive it. Yes, CMON suck in many regards, but if you're inaccurate in your criticism, it comes across as the rantings of irrational haters.
