What sets Alton Towers apart from many other Theme Parks you find across the world, is the fact that every single themed area and roller coaster has a storyline and lore behind it, making the entire park and epic story as you progress through it. What makes it even better is the fact that the majority of these stories are horror themed.

A piece of the original Incredible Hulk coaster in Islands of Adventure is displayed over the Entrance to the ride since they redid the ride with new track as if Hulk himself broke it which I thought was cool. Yes the ride is technically the same as they didn't make any modifications to the track layout but they did completely remove the old track and replace it with an exact copy of new beams/rails etc. I thought it was cool they incorporated some of the old track as part of the entrance to the ride. There's a fair bit of that in the UK- for example, the entrance to the accomodation at the Thorpe Park resort has a load of old signage that used to be around the park, including old logos, signs, and bits and bobs that they have left over form things. On a similar note, I recently learned that the original mascots of Thorpe Park are still on-site, in the old farm area (no longer accessible to the public). Kinda cool that remnants of the old family-friendly version of the park, before it turned into a thrill-seekers destination, are still there.

There are still concrete blocks around the boomerang from the Zambezi zinger. Also back in the distance while riding the train you can still in that area where there used to be raft ride back in early 90's. You have to know exactly where to look bc its all over grown now

Fond memories of Hercules at Dorney Park. Yes, it was rough but the initial trip out of the station and then sweeping out over the lake was stunning. Labor Day Weekend in '94 I rode this with my wife and daughter until there was no longer any point. I was very surprised to learn that it'd been removed.

I remember riding the Corkscrew back in 1990 when we went to Alton Towers on a school trip. The queue time was around 90 minutes back then but was well worth the wait. Another ride which I rode & has also now been removed was Thunder Looper. I remember it really cranking my neck on the return backwards loop but was still nevertheless such a thrill to ride back then.

Not to be too picky but you mis-credited my Steel Phantom footage (off-ride and POV) to someone else. Could you also either link my channel in the description of links to the videos itself also? I am now requiring that, for those that want to use my footage as I believe it helps with the copyright notifications I receive, thanks to the new way that KZbin finds that stuff.

My apologies, Sean. I will absolutely link your footage in future videos and make sure to properly credit them. Thanks for pointing this out.

I took my son to Silver Dollar City when he was six years old. I was so excited for him to ride Buzzsaw Falls because I thought he'd be surprised when the water ride turned into a roller coaster. My wife and I had rode it in years past. I couldn't remember the name at the time. I just remembered the location in the park; so, Powder Keg meant nothing to me. We were both very surprised when we discovered there was no more water and were accelerated down the track at an excessive starting speed! It was his first roller coaster experience. I felt so bad. I didn't want to scare him from riding coasters. I'm glad to finally learn the story behind why it was tore down. It's a fun memory we have of Silver Dollar City and my son actually enjoys coasters to this day despite his initial shock.

There are two different roller coaster remnants at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. The first is on Verbolten. The last drop on the ride uses the same footers as the Big Bad Wolf that was there before Verbolten. The second is the station for Drachen Fire. If you ride the train from Fiesta Italia to New French behind Des Festhaus in Oktoberfest you will see the old station for Drachen Fire. They now use it for a haunted house during the Hallow-Scream event.

7:51 if any of you are around Branson Mo I highly suggest going to silver dollar city, first you forgot that there is a huge incline of the track that used to be a drop so it looks like your going to fly off the tracks when your looking at it in line but you never go on that track ,powder keg is a really good ride it’s pretty smooth gets a little shaky but all in all good also time traveler is a really great ride and I would highly suggest it also and if you want a fun ride without much lines and a big drop go to wild fire!
