I have done the same to a Mercedes om 606 boost pressure sensor but a 12k resistor . Added 3 or 4 psi no problem

How do you install it? The wire that comes from the switch, do i connect it to pin 3 or 2? Same with the wire from the potentiometer, which pin do i connect that one too? Sorry if im being stupid

One wire jumped into pin 2, the other into pin 3 on the diesel pump harness. It alters the resistance the e.c.u. Sees causing more fuel to be injected 👌

@@mws8025 it can be either way around it really doesn't matter as long as one wire goes to pin 2 and one to pin 3 , it just changes the resistance value that the ecu sees and causes more diesel to be injected.

Ryan Noone it may, if it has indirect injection and an electrically controlled diesel pump. If it's fully mechanical you will have to manually turn the max diesel screw / bolt up on the fuel pump itself.

E39Td ? Do you mean 525d? If your car is 525d it will have M57 engine code and too new for EVRY.

if its an M51, yes you can do it. you need to put the wires with the resistor inbetween wire 2 and 3 on your pump.

In my v70 2.5 tdi mk1 I set the potentiometer to 360 ohm 😉

If your car has a boost pressure sensor, its probably over boosting and going into limp mode, fit a gauge and check 😁

@@manuel90gti I did! It was overboosting, you could turn the resistor down or fit a diode in the map sensor to make it not see as much boost. Also you could clean your intake because the carbon makes the intake diameter smaller making the boost levels higher to the sensor

No the OM617 is mechanically injected. You have to adjust it manually with tools.

Be careful if it's already mapped, more fuel at that point will likely damage the engine.

The variable resistor is 1k , or 1,000 ohms. The safety resistor is 270 ohms . Making a maximum of 1270 or minimum 270 . The lower the resistance the more smoke and power
