We used the left and middle connections, neither of us know anything about what enters or exits where

One wire on potentiometer needs to be joined to wire 2 on the harness, wire 3 has to be joined to the other side of the potentiometer

Stock turbo, the valve that puts exhaust into the intake is fixed to always be closed. On top of that it's just straight piped with the redneck chip.

My stock 98 1.9 beetle sounds like a semi and makes the gasp noise stock minus the exhaust and cat

All you need for that is a cat delete, muffler delete and egr delete, and it's gonna make that sound but if you want it louder tune it and/or upgrade your injector nozzles to a tad bigger size nozzles and fuel injection pump from 10mm to 11mm.
