great content mate . if you have time can you do a video about Yonder credit card please. seems to be new in the uk and new concept how they offer credit. have a great day man !

Thanks mate! Interestingly I considered reviewing Yonder a few years ago but held off because it was only available in London. BUT it looks like they've expanded their experiences so I've just registered, AND I was accepted so I now have an account. Going to test it, and hopefully, I can do a full review before the end of the year! Thanks for the tip. ^Jonny

Vivid sounds good its a shame not available in the UK. I still have few months to go with my revolut metal but I'm already thinking of getting something else. thanks for the upload

Out of all of them, Vivid and Zen are my favourites, neither of which are available in the UK 😤

Thanks for this content, I gonna try Vivid which offers 5% interest rate😮

Easy way to have Vivid Prime pay for itself and take advantage of all the other benefits. Also, if you use that Stock Rewards Pocket, let me know I'd love to hear feedback on it! ^Jonny

As an FYI, the Revolut Metal Card offered in the USA, still has all the insurance protections, lifestyle protections, discounted lounge access, 5 partner benefits included and cashback offered on a variety of merchants both online and in the physical store.

Interesting, thanks for the tip - also just saw that it includes heavily discounted international transfers and a fee-free ATM network of over 55k. Also looks like you're yet to get RevPoints in the US? ^J

So for crypto you have Revolut, Vivid , N26 . Did I miss some ?

Just so you know, Revolut are doing away with the weekend fees. I believe they have already removed them in Sweden, Norway and the Baltics. I would imagine they will roll this out to the UK soon too.
@Monitodotcom28 күн бұрын
I remember reading something a few months ago and also that Norway were excluded but if you visit www.revolut.com/en-NO/our-pricing-plans/ they still have the disclaimer that weekend fees apply, same for Sweden. ^Jonny
@Monitodotcom28 күн бұрын
But I'd love for them to remove the weekend mark-up! It's annoying having to transfer currency on a Friday in prep, and I'd much rather just use my card abroad freely without having to think about what day of the week it is. They're also allowing their competitors an advantage and opportunity to differentiate themselves, EG ZING. ^J

N26 is by far the best and so far ahead of revolut. N26 has a full ECB bank guarantee.
@htzionis25 күн бұрын
Yonder is a better alternative i think. It's simpler, the cash back is fantastic and it is a credit card unlike revolut. Plus you have the added benefit that customer support sits in the UK not outsourced to some foreign location

Is there a recommendation for an account that gives access to UK share purchasing?
@ArshadMaliks25 күн бұрын
I am new to Revolut but what i found attractive that it supports crypto. Although I am not using it as my primary crypto account but found they have higher fee more than i used to use in my noncustodial wallet. Probably not worth it but one new in crypto may find it easy.

Trading 212 is worth a mention with some competitive interest on currency accounts.

I'll take a look, could be worth including them in Part 2. ^Jonny

If you live in Europe, Revolut works through a Lithuanian IBAN, which goes through SWIFT if you need to receive money in USD. If we're talking about a low-cost fintech banking solution to Revolut, I think Wise is another solution to consider.
@Monitodotcom27 күн бұрын
So you're suggesting WISE as an alternative to Revolut for being paid in USD? Or more generally and just as a low-cost digital bank? ^Jonny

Been a Zen customer for some years now only to find out that when I wanted to use the extended warranty service that would be a dissapointment. Almost 3 months and my case at AXA hasn't been solved. I know it AXA's issue but still Zen needs to change provider.
@Monitodotcom25 күн бұрын
Hey mate, thanks for sharing your insight, I love the look of Zen, and I'm genuinely gutted that I can't open an account in the UK. Can you share any further insight? What do you mainly use it for? Everyday banking? Also, have you checked out the 'ZEN Care Shopping Protection' feature? Cheers! ^Jony

Travel Insurance is still available in the EU :) basically the only reason that I still keep this subscription. Interest rates are a joke now.
@Monitodotcom26 күн бұрын
Yeah I feel you, saving rates in the EU are generally quite poor as well. Which country are you based in? I can take a look around and see what's available. ^J

Paying a monthly subscription just to get cashback is a stupid concept.

You don't mention the recent panorama on revolut. It really is quite worrying, are you going to do a video on it

Honestly, I haven't watched it, I did read the immediate news aftermath but now I'll take the time to watch it. ^J

Oh I'm sorry to be the bearer of potentially bad news, but check out my video on the recent changes at Revolut, I've timestamped the link. (kzbin.info/www/bejne/iojCkIprdqx-e7Msi=TY6uC5gnucAsWlIB&t=66). I discuss RevPoints, which has replaced cashback and can be quite lucrative. ^Jonny

Any reason why sterling bank is not on the list?
@Monitodotcom25 күн бұрын
I really like Starling Bank, but I wanted this video to provide options for people who may be missing certain benefits or perks, such as cashback. There are A LOT of great options and I will be back with a Part 2 which may include Starling. ^Jonny

You don't mention Bunq?
@Monitodotcom28 күн бұрын
Oh yeah, Bunq were actually the first provider I considered, but I didn’t include them for a couple reasons. So, they do offer cashback and travel insurance, but to get those, you’ve got to pay close to €20 a month for the Easy Bank Pro XL plan. And while having multiple local IBANs is great, so is zero FX charges, they're also something you’ve got to pay for. In the end, it just felt like a lot of their top perks were stuck behind a paywall. And yeah, that’s true for a lot of these providers, but N26 and Vivid seemed like the best value for EEA customers in terms of what you get for the price. Appreciate you asking though! ^Jonny

How is possible that you didn’t even mention Wise?!?
@Monitodotcom25 күн бұрын
I'm a big fan of WISE, I've spoken a lot about them over the years. I chose not to include them because I wanted to focus on providers that could fill the void of benefits or perks that people may have lost due to changes at Revolut, such as Smart Delay. That said, Revolut Alternatives Part 2 will include WISE. ^Jonny

FYI you 'recoup' a cost, you don't 'recuperate' it. Good video otherwise. There are so many ways you can slice this analysis - top accounts for cashback, top accounts for travel insurance, best accounts for high earners (which tend to offer decent perks in order to attract said high earners), etc. You could probably make half a dozen related videos!
@alexlawn19521 күн бұрын
Lol, you losted everything but the best; Nationwide. They put their insurance up recently, but you get device, breakdown and travel. The travel insurance can be tailored to longer trips by calling and the best bit is you can call a human and get whatever issue immediately fixed without needing a chat ir being put on hold. Plus its not a bank, they are a building society. Money's not rehypothicated.
