Another sad fact,Muichiros body was still in the infinity castle when Nakime died(Nakime a blood demon art was holding the castle up so when she died the castle fell apart for the ones who didn’t know) and Muichiros body ended up getting either crushed by the infinity castle or got lost in it for Muichiro never got a proper burial And another one:) In chapter 204:A world without demons and it shows the characters it’s the other characters around them are actually covering their injuries or the body parts they lost for example Genya he got cut in half by Kokushibou and you only see one side of his body and you don’t see obanais face because he lost his vision.-And the tokito twins in the future Muichiro and Yuichiro end up getting reincarnated as “twins mist patterned blankets”

For tanjiro, since the mark deactivates when the fight end, we can assume that those who died at 25 did so when activating their marks, explaining how yorichii managed to live up to 80 (even if he had a natural mark since birth, his blade became red so he should still have the effects of a mark) because he almost killed muzan and so he didn't have to fight, and gyomei is just built different and since he survives to the fight we could also tell that he survived since he only activated his mark once, so his body wasn't hurt by multiple uses and so it's much likely that he survived Hope this helped you heal a little bit your depression 😊

As far as fan theories go, fans who claim that Tanjiro dies at 25 have reasons to back it up. However, in the manga, Tanjiro lives for years after his battle with Muzan Kibutsuji. Kanao deserved so much better. Her life is straight up hell, yet is arguably the best character in the entire show (Rengoku fans, don't kill me 😭) And it's the fact that she tried to stay distant from others. The ending is so cruel in so many ways to every single character. Another fact: Tengen blames himself for not being there at the Infinity castle, and often wishes he was the one who died instead of Muichiro, who was so young.

Im not sold on the mark killing anyone to be honest, if you think about it, demon slayers are killed left and right, and the sengoku era was in a sense more poetic for lack of a better term with descriptions, it could be the mark being a death sentence came from the nature if the job, being that it gives a big enough boost the slayers who unlock it die fighting, the 25 year thing could very well be an accounting of average age of death or the longest living marked slayer, remember that kokoshibo was surprised his brother lived to 80, if he didn't know then it can be assumed the slayers didn't and the records could never be corrected.
