I actually think her adaptation is one of the reasons it’s been as referenced in pop culture as it is now 🤷‍♀️ As for your question, yeah, she wrote a lot of comedy sketches in her twenties including her own bbc show that flopped hard. The producer for the jane austen novel saw that show and hired her or so the story goes. She’s written children’s books too like every other celebrity but at least she can actually write.
