In Australia it's a bit different, as most people buy their lottery tickets online so no chances of ever losing a ticket. Also, out taxes are already paid so we take home the full won amount. It's also encouraged to stay anonymous. Sometimes they do publish like the Winner's Stories online but the names are never, ever published for safety. I'm guessing the financial stuff is different too from the US.

I think going to a psychologist is a good idea. Because with that amount of money in your wallet can be very stressful and for sure your relationships can change a lot, for good or bad, and knowing your strengths and weaknesses can help you during a period of big changes. @@SpamMouse Privately. Otherwise someone may try to find a way to either rob you, con you, scam you and always have their hand out with a sob story asking for money. There's a bunch of docuseries on KZbin about people who won the lottery and they were openly celebrating and enjoying their wealth lavishly. Many of them ended up broke. One guy was killed over his money, another black mailed, another scammed, etc. Live well, give to charity organ, and enjoy life but don't live over lavishly. Don't make it too obvious that you're wealthy. Doing so will keep your money lasting much longer and keep you safer. There's other videos on what to do when you win the lottery that give super solid advice specifically.

This is pretty different from Australia. Most buy tickets online, and are told to stay anonymous. The financial stuff too. Anyway first thing I'm doing is getting out of this horrific sharehouse and setting up my financial team to buy my own home. I'd love to come on the show as a true rags to riches story, as I'm currently homeless sleeping on a deflated air bed. After buying my home, and everything else, I'd take a long health retreat vacation, and donate some money to the homeless as the rental crisis is terrible out here. I was always the one who said I'd never donate anything until it happened to me.

Big huge tip. Hire an APA. This is an asset protection attorney. Their sole job is to protect your assets. They set up layers of protection. Insurance and LLCs and offshore accounts. People will try to sue you for slip and falls. Car accidents or other things. Insurance is the first line of defense. Having the money in an LLC means it is harder to sue you for it. And finally have a bulk offshore. If someone wants access to that money they have to go to that country to file a separate lawsuit. You aren't offshoring assets to avoid taxes since the money is after taxes. You are offshoring for protection. All the investing in the world means nothing if you aren't protected as maximum as possible. Yes..... I'm ready for that winning ticket.

Here are my tips. #1. When ever you go to a store to buy a lotto ticket, Always wear some sort of Disguise. And never park your car in the store parking lot. Just about every store have video cameras. #2. Never EVER check your ticket(s) at the store or on a lottory app. If you do, you can be identified. #3. Prior to claiming you winnings, establish a trust. #4. Prior to claiming your winnings, rent an apartment in a secure building in another state and get a an I.D./driver's license in that state. #4. If you do go and personally claim the winnings. Again, wear a disguise. Hat, sunglasses, covid mask, wig, ext.

From articles and interviews I've seen, it depends on the size. But the larger wins can take a couple of weeks, for example Powerball wins because each state has to send their portion of the money to your state in order for you to get paid. I have heard that they might give you a smaller check immediately to use while you wait for the rest though.

It depends on the game. A MUSL game like Powerball and MegaMillions will do a wire transfer to your bank account within 1-2 business days of completing the paperwork as long as all the states have submitted their payments after a jackpot win which can take up to a week. IOW, give them a few days before going to collect a jackpot win and you'll probably get the funds the next day.

Yes, you can wear what you wish - some have gone in costume or otherwise changed their appearance, dyed hair etc. However you often have to have your name/town published. If you are clever (with legal help) you could change your name, THEN claim the prize, do the publicity event with puffy cheeks (cotton wool), contact lens and make-up etc. Then revert to your old name. Legal hoops to jump through but you can remain the same person with money that no one knows about - BUT you must follow the rules.

What's funny is that you have a fair amount of people interested in this video. Considering your odds of winning powerball or mega are roughly 1 in 300 million. The current population of USA is 330 million. (I do believe that includes children) So your chances of winning this thing are equivalent to almost everyone buying the same "raffle" ticket. I neeeeed to know from the winners what day and time they bought their ticket, or was it multiple tickets? what made them buy, was it what they usually do or something that triggered them to buy that day? was it a quick pick or did they have numbers they play? Im sorry, but could someone specify why he says it's not a good idea to leave a lot of money into a bank savings or checking account because "its not insured"??? Wdym not insured? If the bank goes bankrupt i lose all my money type of situation?

Lmfao.. I'm always thinking about what I would do if I won. Mainly because many years ago God told me I would win the lotto eventually and that I need to figure out what i'm going to do with it to help like I always promised I would if i was rich.

The key to secrecy is to change nothing after winning. Keep working your soul crushing job. Don't buy anything new, nothing. Do that for 30 more years, & no one will know you won the lottery.
