I rather see light skin, for Cinderella and Henry. And Chad's parents as in biologically. This is why, cause of the actor portrays Chad. Needs to match up with his background, or it's going to be a flop. Disney destroyed the Descendants franchise. Matter of fact, they already did since the first movie. Queen Leia and Cruella, needed to be light skin. Cause it doesn't match up with the cartoon versions.

You’ve never seen the 1997 Cinderella starring Brandi. Thats why Brandi is Cinderella here. In htat movie Prince Charming is Filipino, his mom is black (played by Whoopi Goldberg) and his dad his white. Cinderella’s step mom had a ginger and a black daughter. The entire movie was based on “who is fit for the role” not “ets make everyone the same race” so Chad being a blonde white boy fits being princess charming and Cinderella’s son and Chloe being mixed. Why not enjoy the film instead of whine about how “its not exactly like the cartoon 😭 “

What matters is the talent of the actor, not their race. Unless the character’s race plays an important role with the movie, then yes they shouldn’t change it. But Cinderella was just a girl who wanted to go to the ball, her race has nothing to do with it. R&H Cinderella was blind casted and nobody had a problem with Prince Charming being Asian and his parents being black and white, so why have a problem now
