I’m never scared of any group but I’ve noticed people from “certain” areas tend to be more emotional, more unpredictable and volatile compared to other groups. This keep me on high alert when I’m in these areas. I’m always strapped but my sense of awareness is increased in those environments. As for black business. I’m a small business owner and I absolutely do not want people to patronize my business solely because I am black. My work speaks for itself and that what I want people to see. I’ve always been told I’m an “Oreo” mainly because I don’t hang around a more “urban” crowd. I have friends of all backgrounds and except people for who they are and where they are and race is never a component for me. Truth be told the only people that have harmed me (stole from me, robbed me at gun point) are my own people!

As a Biracial Man, I can honestly say that dating outside the Black Community is easier not because they treat you better, but because they don't have any pre-concieved notions about how you should act toward them and get to know you for you and not your race and they are less demanding, but although it's easier, I still feel a loyalty to Black Women and having a relationship with someone that I can relate to without having people stare at us every time we go somewhere in public. I certainly went thru that enough with my own Mother and having people stare at us, because in the Deep South interracial dating is still subtly frowned upon by both YT People and Black People in certain towns. Dating and Marrying outside your race takes a lot more strength and courage to deal with the public, now if your a half white football quarterback that constantly wins Super Bowls for Kansas City; then you have fewer problems in public.

As a blK woman, I assume biRacial ppl feel superior. My friends’ son (7y.o.) said he can do certain things bc he’s light skinned, he’s biracial. Of course he’s a child but, he’s already aware of himself being closer to whiteness and understands that lightness is more desirable. I have no problem with biracial or multi racial people/ relationships.
@Gnosis63911 күн бұрын
@@lavgreeenand that proves his point. Whenever someone has a preconceived notion about a person they don't know they will treat that person in the way they think they are. Whenever a person focuses on the negative they will only see the negative and be blind to the positive. That bi-racial man can do 1,000 things to show he doesn't feel above any one and that 1 time you perceive he does you will prove yourself right. Most of our people don't understand the laws of the universe and those against us have used that ignorance against us. We attract what we think about, we attract our beliefs. If a black woman thinks black men ain't shit she will naturally repeal good black men and attract the bad ones because of her world view...and this will reinforce her beliefs.

Don't worry about it until she brings it up. Once she brings it up then you can say what you have to say. The hair thing became an issue when the weave and wig became a thing instead of a fad.

Highly doubt slavery affects people today. Prejudice, yes but actual slavery, no.
@tommytremble39102 ай бұрын
Institutional racism moreso than prejudice. Slavery only affects us (and a large portion of white people) economically today.

Those slaves were real people who passed on real problems that they did not create or know how to fix. Black people were not allowed to be educated on purpose and yet the great grandchildren of those uneducated enslaved peoples have to explain in good English how and why they are not in the same places as those whose ancestors were not in those situations.
@lavgreeen2 ай бұрын
@@keysharamos-qf8pt I understand but, education has been available to black people for at least 85 years. My grandfather (born 1927) stopped school at 8, He never cried about slavery holding him back. .
@keysharamos-qf8pt2 ай бұрын
@@lavgreeen just because he didn’t “cry” doesn’t mean it didn’t have affect. Your grandpa is probably mentally strong and because he was able to give you the perspective that slavery has passed and you have the tools to get what more you need you can say slavery doesn’t effect YOU in a conscious way. Because you have been allowed the experience of being led by someone who can overcome what is it outside that doesn’t work towards them this doesn’t mean that there aren’t those who could not overcome that are still here for whom life is just complicated. I dont think anyone who feels it true that slavery affects them today can say so without having those direct bad effects from slavery

45:03. Other races of guys make you feel secure because they don't question you. They know by them being of another race, anything they say that you don't agree with, you would label them as racist.
@tommytremble39102 ай бұрын
That, but moreso they’re just hypergamous animals seeking the men with the most social status and resources so white men’s validation means more to them. That’s for the ones that don’t value their own heritage, culture, and men as much as they do tryna climb the social status ladder.

Yo , at around 14:50 when your wondering about natural hair ima say the example you gave where a boss would point it out vs there partner I see it as effects of systemic racism. I might be gassin it but it’s not just if the boss says it but if instagram is promoting it if there are more ads that are being pushed out , the outside world has more of an effect on women then the men we keeping in the house with us. Anybody can hold you close to their heart and value you for you but changing how you act or choose to look isn’t for black women gonna be based on one man who we’ve been conditioned to see as someone who we cannot fully trust. Men are a gamble and some women feel safer not listening to what there man say immediately till the world shows them that’s ok. I might be off 🤷♀️ but I’m thinkin when someone tells me I’d look better one way it definitely depends who it’s coming from wether or not I will even consider it
