Men are supposed to show loyalty by providing long-term security to the woman he commits to. Protection, provisioning (paying for her lifestyle, bills) . Women want the BEST man she can get and show loyalty by only having sex with that one man. We care about a woman's sexual fidelity because it helps to ensure paternity.
