I just started my fragrance journey. I went to the store and sampled everything I could. 80% of fragrances I don’t like (or they just smell generic to me). Only two really made me stop and go “wow”: Terre d’Hermes pure parfum, which is the first fragrance I bought, and TF Black Orchid. The latter is one I haven’t been able to stop thinking about. I know most men may not want to smell like an orchid, but it is a really lovely dark scent, I can’t describe it beyond its name - it’s floral but dark and mysterious. If that fits your vibe, no matter how you identify, I strongly recommend you give it a try. I’ll probably end up buying a bottle soon. Definitely for the cold weather, and for someone who wants to give off a silently strong, mysterious and alluring vibe.

Totally agree with Dior Homme Parfum I have the new formulation , and it is so potent, I could smell 2 weeks after apply on clothes Strong, timeless and classy scent What a masterpiece it is 👏🏼

No new formula! The perfume in the old 75 ml bottles and the new 100 ml. is absolutely the same. I have 3 bottles, and I speak from personal experience. This is the same perfume with the same formula that is written on the boxes. 😉

Oh, I can smell your fragrance like rain onto the seeds haha beautiful horn playing I must say. Not tried any of these other than black orchid and dior pour homme which are both magic juices to my pallet so will need to sample the rest fo sho. Consistently great content, I personally can't wait to try your brass and soul fragrance sounds right up my street.

Great review...for me Gucci Guilty Absolute Pour Homme is a winner. I have tested Tom Ford Tabaco Oud...it is really a interesting scent and it has a mixture of notes then compliments each other well. Would agree that it needs to worn to a formal event..classy stuff.

I know the perfumer lists brandy as the boozy note in Overture but, with the smokiness, I get a peaty highlands scotch paired with an Ashton madura churchill from the dry ashen scent. Fantastic. Brings me back to an old cigar bar/jazz club I would frequent.

This is another great, informative video. Love the idea of doing in depth spin offs of your earlier, impressive fall video. Do continue. :) I have heard and read about most of these but smelled only a few, those being TF Black Orchid and Dior Homme Parfum. I agree. These are showstoppers. Black Orchid is not a love but I'd wear it if I had it. I own the Dior (the one that was discontinued) and it is one of the most impressive fragrances I've ever smelled. Love it. I'd love to try Overture Man, given my experience with other Amouage scents, especially Jubilation XXV (also boozy)....I think Dior Sauvage Elixir belongs on this list. I do not love it, in contrast to most of fragcom, but it is so stunning that I bought a full bottle (was planning to get a decant)!

Great choices, Justin! As always. You have to check out Philipp Plein No Limits… It’s really good and definitely a show stopper. I think you’ll love it. It gets compared to Black Tie and Gucci Guilty Absolute but a bit sweeter and more wearable, IMO. All 3 have been composed by Alberto Morillas. It’s very interesting and I can’t get enough of it. I’ve also been reaching for Prada Amber Pour Homme Intense, not sure if you’ve tried it but it’s another one I think you’d like. Both are dark, mysterious and sexy. SOTD: Xerjoff Alexandria II

Great Video, I smelled Gucci Guilty Absolute and totally agree. Haven't smelled any of the others, but I think Terre D'Hermes is definitely in this category, I've had a show stopper reaction when I wore it a few years ago: two friends were picking me up for an outing and the moment I stepped in the car they nearly fled from the windows. I mean it is a powerful scent, very harsh vetiver, cedar and patchouli, I'm almost sure there in something "animalic" in there but they don't list it. Personally I got a whiff while passing by HERMES boutique in Vancouver back in 2006 and I just knew I had to grab it so in I went and I did.

Very nice Justin....Well i am pulling the trigger on Fragrance Du Bois Oud Noir.....I just got to have it......Dior Homme intense i like the most out of all the Dior homme.....I want to get all the Argos Fragrances i just haven't because i always seem to have trouble with Max Aroma! My card doesn't like Max Aroma...Why i have really no clue! I have Truimph Of bacchus 30ml and a 100ml and that fragrance is on top of my Favorite list ever! Yeah, just buy a new 100ml bottle from Dior or a European webshop. It is a masterpiece, and there is no need to buy a "vintage" bottle, because it is probably still the same. And even if it isn't, the current version is top quality.

When I first tried it, it felt like kind of a slap in the face, but I courted it and found that it smells absolutely beguiling on my skin. The intro was beautiful!
