They will also walk all over you if they don't respect you.. A friends cat used to take stuff from visitors, hiss at them, and generally bully them. He tried the same with me, i smacked him on the nose when he hissed at me, he looked surprised, and walked off. After that he never hissed at me again, and was a cuddlebug.. Towards everyone else, he kept on bullying them.. He was such a clever cat. :)

it was some time, but my former cat did sometimes lay lazy on its back and actually looking with large eyes like she does watching prey... put my hands to the belly and yea she will hold it bite it softly but does not allow me to retract my hand, as she calmly holds her large claws on my skin. Combination of licking and soft bites saying "this is mine now".
