I thought that too. Being able to fall in love easily is something I have no trouble with but I do tend to be xenophobic towards most people preferring my own company, yet I crave human interaction once I have it I wish I was alone. I font know if I am truly intelligent. I dont trust the news preferring to research from private sources and don't even watch tv, my friends are an eclectic mix and I do seem to have a lot of friends with deep emotional problems, I suffer from many of those myself. Intelligence comes from acquiring knowledge, experience makes you wise and no one can be pigeon holed with a list of character traits. I am far from vain and overly concerned with appearances, though I get a boost of self esteem from not looking like I was turfed out of a McDonald's bin. I am regularly distracted by cluttered thoughts, easily distracted and yes bored by conventional social interaction, though I am just me. I'm not a 200 iq superbeing, not a chick magnet, not a drain on society and if it came down to being on the last starship escaping the earth from certain doom I don't think I'd secure a seat as I have little to offer, but I have great empathy for certain people, I see good in those society would dismiss. In that respect I have worth and I'd rather have that than a diploma.

Ehhrm.. I'm 'highly intelligent' and I smoke and do drugs (mostly weed, sometimes xtc or speed because it's fun). Together with my psychologist we figured out I probably started smoking weed because it slows down my brain a bit. Fast thinking gets exhausting sometimes. Other people drink their beer, and I smoke my joint. Nothing wrong with that. I still function as a person and keep making good progress in my field of study. Agreed. Well i only believe 1/10 of this video. Due to the false information. People who were lazy, just because they dont want to do anything or thinking about other things they dont really like. They always skip their lessons which can makes their behavior much worse. Like when you in work, you dont want to finish the work your boss given to you and you will be fired for lazy behavior. I am most of these things. I want to hang out with other intelligent people, but they don't really like me. I'm really hard on myself to do better, though I'm not a perfectionist because I think of philosophical things. My mind never stops moving. I'm not very socially awkward, but that's because I focus too much on the possibilities the conversation holds, which means I'm too focused on something else to say something strange. I'm always pushing myself to be better, and I tend to beat myself up a lot. Nothing is good enough for me, it always has to be that tiniest bit better, but when I reach my goal, my goal goes higher. This will make us successful in life, because we never slack off.

nah i'm like a coffee with half and half according to this XD I've always been a little on the "deep intellectual side" of life when it comes to my outlooks, but not necessarily a genius XD. And if anything this video would be proving me to be not all that bright XD because the world around me tends to frustrate me so deeply I tune it out rather than openly soak up information and again every time I do I end up going on a paranoid "why the world is falling to shit these days" rant (but let's be honest you never know what of it is fact or fictitious- truth spinning anymore anyways) I don't necessarily like or dislike small talk it makes me uncomfortable because it runs dry of answers quickly and awkward silence is almost painful, and a challenge is only fun if it isn't high stress. I have shit for brains when it comes to short term memory and multitasking under pressure. Rather than being able to I just get overwhelmed or distracted at the amount of things to remember to do anything correctly. XD I like to focus on one thing thoroughly down to the smallest and peskiest of details so I can do well and perfect it. I like to feel like i'm be the absolute tip-top notch at that thing because it's how I feel the most productive XD so really this video would only prove i'm so highly contradictory as what they're defining as "genius" I may as well be two separate halves of a mental state sharing my body. (Aka half- and half) Or basically I've never seen myself as the smartest grape on the vine or the dullest but I have a very low mental stress tolerance. XD I'd rather just hide away and write or draw where I can say what I want to say how I feel like i'm trying to say it. Cause let's face it words are hard. Especially with somone glaring at you like a giant amorphous monster is currently eating your face as you speak whenever you try to explain your thoughts. XD Cause frankly I feel like I get that a lot...

Pretty good list. For me, the socially awkward part and the intolerance of small talk go hand in hand. When small talk dominates a discussion, I get bored and lose interest. If I can't extricate myself from the conversation then it's almost torture. If I'm asked for input, I've generally stopped paying attention and come across pretty awkwardly if I give an answer. In these situations, I'm seen as the quiet, socially awkward person. If the conversation is challenging or interesting, then I'm generally actively listening, asking questions, or making statements. Flows much better.

Or if you're a stereotypical intelligent person you'd be coming here to prove the video wrong. Not much to my surprise, these "signs" are also what defines autism. Not to say autists are smart or stupid, because they are as varied as the different kinds of intelligence. There are traits that can be "a sign of higher intelligence", but generally speaking you can't tell anything about their intelligence through these "signs". I'm pretty sure most of us fit with over half of these. It doesn't make us smart, even if all of them fit. lovely noora yup I am also an academic failure. But I am intelligent. How? I don't judge others that makes me not to judge myself. I do what I love as my gut says and I don't give a damn about what others think or my past. I just live in present moment and sometimes make stupid decisions and mistakes though most of them are silly and get over it so hard. So don't worry you are not alone, I am worse than you. MEH, I'm an actual genius and my report card grades were consistently E,E,E,A,I, D in school, until I was moved to a school for the gifted. At least 70% of the people I find on the Internet don't use proper grammar, and after taking to them, I find that many of them are, in fact, not very intelligent! Well, for my standards, anyway. I don't know if my standards are extremely high, but oh well.
