Regarding number 8: totally true. Today the biggest gossiper at work was not there today and boy oh boy was the air different at work. I came home and felt so much lighter. Not having that toxic gossip, disgust and disappointment has been such a blessing. And as an HSP being around constant gossip makes me feel so so heavy. Not being around it today made a world of difference.

Vera...thank you for this video. It gives us all some tips and ideas on what to focus on for 2022. I choose kindness and reading for fun. As rgds kindness ...I saw a discussion on the BUjo community of which word people was choosing for 2022. It was a long list from 'abundance' to moore offensive words like 'peace', 'love', 'action' etc....Finally I ended up with ' 'gently' as my word for 2022, very close to your kindness. Be gently with people you meet, with nature, with yourself ...etc... The other aspect you mentioned that is definitely on my list is 'reading for fun' ; i am a frequent visitor to the local library, I have a stack of books next to my bed, and I eagerly look for books that I would like to read; books have always been close friends to me since my childhood. In the summertime we lived in a house without electricity, there was no innternet, so reading was my way to experince other worlds, other continents, etc. Thanks again for this list ....it will be kept in my Bujo for 2022

That, plus I feel like it's easy for me to get stuck in other areas of entertainment, like being on KZbin too much or watching too many movies or TV shows. Perhaps it's time that I really evaluate myself and take action on this more often without the excuses. Thank you for sharing these helpful tips, Vera! ❤

Thanks Amy!! :) I've been reading for about 15-30 minutes each night in bed, before gonig to sleep, for about as long as I can remember. It's a habit I never break :) Also nice because it doesn't involve a screen. But maybe that could be something to try, it doesn't even have to be 15-30 minutes, it can be like 10 minutes :)

1, 7 and 10 for me. 1 is a real good idea because I always have a long To-do-list ☺. This might oblige me to more think of myself. 7 is the hardest one for me, I have a lot of ideas and wishes but never put them into practice, I always find an excuse. 10 is something I already thought about myself. I usually read books for a purpose, instructional books, that will make me think about things or I will take notes while reading. I don't often read books just for fun or just enjoy it. I love fairy tales though so I think that is what I am going to read next or children's literature, because it doesn't demand much brainwork and can be very well-written. I recommend Roald Dahl really. Or British classic "The secret garden ". Thank you Vera for your videos.

Excellent advice Vera, especially about loving yourself and doing what's best for you. Definitely going to take all the advice on board. Some I do already and some I just need to remind myself of, like being more positive in a healthy way and taking in less toxic/negative gossip even if it seems harmless. I'm in the middle of decluttering at the moment, so I'm hoping that my home will be a much calmer and tidier place once it's done. My favourite books that I have read lately was Little Women by Louisa May Alcott and Omg What a Complete Aisling by Emer McLysaght and Sarah Breen.

Honestly I can get a lot of rude customers at my workplace but I try very hard to not let it take away my ✌️ so as they step up to the counter I always try to have a pleasant greeting and a smile on my face, it isn’t always reciprocated but I feel good within me. 🌱….I love the quote because I am very complacent and I really need to plan some things that I would really enjoy doing and I’m always saying “ one day I’ll do it”, and that day never comes 😕….I am reading “Jane Eyre” by Charlotte Brontë. Aww, another brilliant video! Aleo, the universe does provide, as the content is just what I needed to hear to confirm my own most recent thought processeses and recognitions. Thanks Vera, you are such a blessing😇🌷 Ps. Can definitely feel the calm, bright, positive energy coming through, likely linked to the meditations you started again. 🙏

Hi Vera, thank you for yet a great video 🤩 🙏 I also enjoy reading. The best books that I have read in 2021 was “Where the crawdads sing” and “the guernsey literary and potato peel pie society”. I can recommend them. Stay safe ❤️

A book recommandation ? Mine ! 😁 Remise à zéro (Nadège Viel) : it's a fiction taking place in 2150. But it's in French... 😅

The number one simple habit that is improving my life is taking time to read my Bible everyday. But it doesn't always happen everyday, and I'd like it to happen everyday. I noticed on the days that I don't schedule in that time for the Lord, and be still, my anxiety sneaks back in. But, this is a good reminder that my anxieties will be gone when my hope is in the right place and I've taken time to place it there. I also need to take time for exercise and fresh air everyday. If I skip more than one day with that, I fell off as well. It just makes me so happy to know that I'm getting back to the one who gave me life! Even when I miss a day of reading, it's still in my heart. I'm also going on a 21-day fast from chocolate and I'm on day 4 so far, just about! Now, that's hard for me to do! But I know that failure is only when you're not trying not if you miss a day on one of your disciplines! Have a blessed day!!🥰🍵🍫 oh, I forgot to add that I love to read fiction books! Before becoming a mom, I used to always read fiction books as a teen. But then somehow I thought it needed to only be about learning which I did for a number of years but now, into my late forties I have found the joy of reading fiction again. You are correct about how it helps you get lost in your thoughts and it's just such a fun escape. My favorite series right now is called Tearoom Mysteries. I am on my 26th book for the series and I just love them. Happy reading!

Great tips! I am working on being more intentional with my screen time. I have one book recommendation - Dawn by Selahattin Demirtas. It is a collection of short stories and is very beautifully told.

Good morning Vera ☕ 😪 I'm questioning choosing kindness, not that I disagree with what you said. Is our normal too inwardly focused, too selfish? How do we view ourselves and we are imposing our 'doing' kindness upon others? Is my 'doing' kindness more important than your 'doing' and can we find commonality or community might be what we should ask ourselves. Why are we choosing, 'doing' kindness at all? Damn rabbit holes. 😄
@SimpleHappyZen3 жыл бұрын
Hi Robert, interesting questions! I personally think it's okay to "do" kindness unto others, as long as you don't expect something in return, like we can't feel entitled to it or think we know how others should act. All I know is, I feel better when choosing kindness, and I think usually it'll help make the world a better place, if only for 2 people 2 minutes.

@@SimpleHappyZen Yes, two or more people for those moments. No expectations. I've talked to so many people in many places, at home and when traveling, for a minute and even an hour and those are some of my favorite memories. Never mind I don't know them and probably will never meet them again. That's also why I love travel, people outside of their normal and being themselves, whatever that might be. It's that moment, that particular now. 😄

Hi vera! Since you asked for book recommendations, I would recommend "seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo". This book changes my view of how deep a bestseller fiction can actually be 😃
