Great insights Glenn. I’ve actually been in the fishing section looking for certain baits and I’ve had people ask me about how to spool their reels or what baits to get or rods and it turned into a teaching moment. And I was glad to be their to help them on their fishing journey.

Wow Mr may what a great video I can't believe the way you've improved the channel with all these pro fisherman talking to us. I've always enjoyed your channel but now not on only are we getting great information from you but now you have the pros giving us info to. Hey Glenn I bet you Mrs may would put a whoppin on me she can fish bro I see her setting the hook with that jig tell her good job and Glenn don't get insulted when I talk about the pros Glenn I know you're a pro fisherman your self and I really appreciate and respect you and the awesome knowledge you have. But this video was fantastic and you have so much to offer us anglers who are not professional. I llove it I love it just soaking up all this information. GOD bless you and Mrs may and the rest of your family.

Fishing late winter early spring February an early March it's generally good to use noisy dark colored lures with dark colored soft plastics. Black an blue an June bug. Noisy lures intale chatterbait. Chatterbait is great because 2 reasons bass generally in colder weather that's late winter early spring generally are in deeper water because water conditions are a bit more stable due to weather conditions oxygen an forage. You can you reaction retrieve but be sure to impart longer pauses. Also chatterbaits make noise an vibration so a dark colored chatterbait is ideal in shallow an deep water. Just as sun's rising shallower water is good sometimes in deep as well chech the shallow water 1st. Then next cast do deeper water casting as far as you can out further. If no bites keep moving. Use a fast retrieve an pause from 7 seconds as far up as 1 minute. Every 10 to 15 seconds gently tap handle an let lure sit. Yes after 2 casts move. Keep covering water. After 2nd spot if you've made a total of 4 cast 2 last spot an 2 in the new spot if fast retrieve doesn't work go to moderate an slow speeds with long pauses. Try fast 1st if no reaction slow down retrieve. It's important when you mix it up to figure out once you figure it out after covering 3 spots 6 casts in total once you find retrieve speed an pause try it for a bit. If after awhile that retrieve an pause stops working keep mixing it up always not every fish will respond to the same pause an retrieve always mix up pause an retrieve. Lastly have fun

I have different Plaino Boxes for different types of baits. Just speaking about Plastics as a bait. I only use 3 to 4 of each color per compartment. Keeping them separated is obviously key for a few reasons. As they get destroyed, eaten, or lost I take inventory of that. Sometimes you just need to take a break, coffee, water, snack, Etc. I use that time to chill and make a note it in my phone. When I think about it or when I come in I can replenish. This also gives me an opportunity to change out some bait inventory. One thing about fishing it’s always changing and they are always eating. What, When, Where, & Why are they eating? That’s the challenge. My goal when I turn that key is to NEVER GET SKUNKED. I don’t care if it’s the worst day ever I will be satisfied with just 1 Bluegill. There are days when even that is a challenge.

The right clothing can make or break an excursion as well. Dress for comfort and functionality rather than to impress or intimidate. I had a guy come out with me on a small river wade fishing dressed in a short sleeve jersey and professional looking cap. Dude ended up with a sunburn and more mosquito bites than I could count. Great looking gear for tournament fishing on a boat, not so great for what we were doing. Pay attention to the environment and prepare accordingly.

I just wish I could get close to the dam by my lake it's unreachable though unless you're renting a boat that the reservoir has in the lake and that's quite High

Easiest an best way to know weather it's a bite or brush, a rock or grass is gently pop rod upwards 3 times. If a reaction occurred its a fish. If the rod just bends an it's just flexes an doesn't show variation or rod movement it's covor brush or grass or rock. If it's stuck on covor or whatever flip bail create slack. Then pop rod tip up an down on slack. Never try pulling lure free on tight line you'll get hurt. Hook can fly back an cut u fishing trip short an end up in an emergency room. 😪😪😪
