My mom worked at a store in the’50s that sold an item @ “10¢ each or 9 for 99¢”… so, buy 10 for $1 or 9 for 99¢ 🤔?! But people still thought they were getting a deal

10 for 10 deals are not bad deals. Buy a case, take it home, don't buy that item until you run out. You are actually saving money by purchasing a large quantity at one time as long as it's something you would normally eat. Especially now with the prices going up. Buy it while its a dollar a can because tomorrow it's going to be 1.25 a can.

Talk about marketing/manipulation! At about 7:00 there’s a clip from South Park showing a Subway spokesperson and the very instant the words “healthy way to eat fast food and lose weight” are spoken, YT cut straight to an ad for Noom.

Story time. The hidden rotten food thing happened to me once. I always used to buy mangoes by the box with just one layer. One day I decided to buy a box with two layers and only checked the 6 on top. When I got home and went to put them away I saw that 4 on the bottom were half black. Now these are authentic alphonso mangoes. Not cheap. I was planning to have a huge argument and giving the people in charge a piece of my mind. To my surprise they gave me a new box without any issues and gave me what I spent on the original box as store credit. Haven't been many times in my life where I walked away disappointed and elated at the same time 🤣 Thanks for the videos team Babble🔝 💕🤗💞 Be safe and STAY blessed everyone 🙏

The difference between "organic" and "regular": About $2 per pound! XD And I once saw a sign for $2.99 organic pineapples. Quite the deal, since that's what places around me charge for a regular pineapple. The catch: These things were SMALL! They looked like hand grenades! XD I passed and bought a normal-sized "regular" pineapple for the same price and it was delicious.

Grocery stores don't ALWAYS lose money when they have to throw out food... They key it out of their system & get vendor credit... Which means basically the same as if you get something & it's bad.. they'll replace it for free... Same for the store.. they get a free replacement from their supplier.

I used to go to Costco just to eat up all their free food. Then just leave. Used to do this 3 times a week. Saved me a ton of money. Then invested it. Because really well of. And now never step foot in Costco. They do not have the best prices or products. For generic stuff they are fine.

haven't seen such a bad video vor a while.. Hiding rotten food? You can't hide rotten food and hope customers won't see it. Every store got a instore Quality Control. if you would do that, you would lose your job at that second. Same as misslabeling for organic foods. You need to have a proof and keep those at your records to make sure, if something is wrong with the food, that the problem isn't your fault. And the rest is, as already said normal marketing.

Canada use to have The Woolco stores. 4.99,10:99,15.99 and 99.99. It was meant to throw everyone off. Walmart bought out their stores in1994 and kept the Woolco staff to compete here. There were cheaper stores,Walmart made more money. That is why thy are still in Canada. Then came The Dollar Stores, which are reasonably priced and sell everything. I think more people shop there. In Canada the politicians want us to pay extra tax. Which costs us more,so you are no farther ahead. Then you get G.S.T. on top of that. Shoppers Drug Mart has a produce aisle in freezers in Ontario. The staff there is always nice and has helped me out in the past. Giant Tiger is also a great low price store which has everything and low prices on groceries. Sharen

I always round the price up in my head. So if something is $5.99 or even $5.49 I always round it up to $6. Also I never impulse buy anything. I only buy what's on my list and that's it and nothing more. The one thing I hate more than anything is going to the store and it's rearranged. I've always known that is a strategy to get customers to buy things they don't need. But it don't work on me. Also I never really could understand why organic is more expensive than regular produce. I mean sure the land has to go at least 10 years without any chemical fertilizers or pesticides put on the land for the crops grown in that land to be certified organic. Wouldn't you think something that does not have chemical fertilizers or pesticides put on it should be cheaper. Just think about it the farmers aren't having to buy chemical fertilizers or pesticides for organic crops. So the cost of that is not being passed down to the consumer. I personally think it's just a money grab. The USDA actually has two different definitions for organic. There is the regular 95% organic and then there's also 100% organic. Also the only thing stopping people form slapping that organic label on products is just a fine from the USDA for misusing that label.
