The Lost Ruins of Arnak is the game that made me realize solo gaming is my cup of tea. Multi-player games with a good solo mode are my favourite. You can play with friends or by yourself. Garphill Games are fantastic for their solo modes. At this point, if a game doesn't have a solo mode, I won't buy it.

I feel the same way. I always check for a solo mode (that is decent) before I get games now. I just got LRoA and haven't played it yet. Hopefully, over the holidays, but your note tells me that a solo play will work if the family is busy.

One thing to keep in mind is that any co-op game where players don’t have to keep secrets from each other (such as Dead of Winter), they can be played solo. Some of my favourite solos include Horrified, Forbidden Island, Pandemic, and Zombicide:NotLD. Each is a co-op that play really well as solo experiences.

Lots of good homebrew solo variants on BGG, some even better than the published ones that come with the games (but agree that they are not good for solo beginners). Also, cute haircut, although as a guy, I like long hair better (mine is as long as your was before you cut it - grown out since COVID). Going to donate for wigs. My wife just passed her 11 year bell ringing anniversary this week (end of treatment for breast cnacer).

I recently discovered Food Chain Island and last week ordered the expansion pack. I'm a little obsessed with it. Also, I love Orchard. Haven't played Kohaku in a long while; need to pull that one off the shelf! Been enjoying Dungeons, Dice, and Danger solo.

I think Cascadia was one of the first games I played solo and I still love it. I also love loads of Button Shys - Sprawlopolis and Naturopolis are my current favourites, thank you for introducing me to Button Shy Jamie! I need to get Royal Limited next I think

You can't go wrong with any of the simply solo games from Button Shy! Crystallo and Palm Island are two other solo games that are pretty accessible. Other than that I agree with looking to see if your favourite game has a solo mode (it may not be in the rulebook). Games like 7 Wonders Duel, Patchwork, etc have had solo modes designed for them after publishing.

I've been blown away with Trailblazers as a solo game, and I'm really excited to finally get the Holiday Super Skill Pinball to the table in the next few days! (also gotta say I love your confident mispronunciation of Sudoku; it's oddly endearing. Never change! 😉)

My first was voyages by postmark games! I saw the super cheap print and play make a lot of waves when it was on Kickstarter and it came out in peak Covid isolation so I thought it’d be fun to play with friends online. I ended up liking it solo just as much! Def reccomend you try any of their games!

Best solo game is solo Whist. It's similar to solitaire Euchre but played in the Whist format.

Based on watching you guys walk about button shy game I bought 3 last week , potions, skulls, and popes. My charge cleared on Monday morning and still no email about my purchase. I did mention this to the Facebook page and no response. Does it take a while to get the confirmation email? If so about how long? Does delivery in us take some time also? Just trying to figure out what’s going on.

I absolutely love Horrified solo. Well, it's the only way I've played it. I play Lucky Numbers on BGA all the time, but you can't solo it there. A roll and write that I really like that has the different maps with varying levels of difficulty like Super Lucky Pinball, is Dungeons, Dice, and Danger.

Horrified, Food Chain Island, and Kohaku I need to play more! I will add: Fantastic Factories (really clever robot imo), Next Station London (my fave flip and write and a great example of a game that barely changes at any player count). PS Jamie it’s pronounced and spelled SUDOKU 😂 no hate your vowels are just in the wrong spot.
