Paleo has a solo variant. You start with 0 food and can use dice to ask for help. It just required you to discard x cards per use. Great game, I agree

@@AmeepleFamily you can find the rules on page 3 of the additional rule book. At the very end of the page. The number of card to discard is 2 per dice. Since for 1 player we have a ton of card, it might be worth to use them. Then roll the dice and pray for a good result 😁

We love Oh My Goods in our house. I have also played it solo using the beat-your-score variant, and haven't gotten Longsdale or anything else for it.

Paleo is a big, very popular game. It won the 2021 Kenner Spiele des Jahres (German Connoisseur/Expert Game of the Year - the biggest modern/designer board games award). (There is also the regular Spiele des Jahres for more Family weight games and the Kinder Spiele for children’s games - Micro Macro: Crime City and Dagomino in 2021 respectively). Games that win these awards always get a second printing and tend to sell better because of the award on the box. :)

Also, I need to try Paleo, First Rat, Hadrian’s Wall and NY Zoo! First Rat and NY Zoo look reallly good to me. :). I like Honey Buzz and Everdell solo as well.

Isle of Cats is one of my favorite games. Recently picked up Ares Expedition but haven't gotten it to the table or even read the rules yet. Glad to hear you enjoyed it. My newest game I've been playing solo is a flip-n-write called Explorers. Fun little game.

Love your take on these games! You did a great job and I look forward to checking out your other videos. I really enjoy the solo version of the full version of Terraforming Mars, but is definitely longer, but worth it (imo). I also concur with other comments, Ark Nova solo is great!

Hi Amber and happy belated birthday. I only play solo board games and enjoyed your list. With Terraforming Mars versus Ares Expedition, my pick will always be Ares Expedition. I had the original and ended up selling it. Games I played last month included Sub Terra, Raiders of Scythia, Castles of Burgundy and Maximum Apocalypse. I have also taken out Charterstone with the goal of finally finishing the campaign. I am presently on game 8. Take care

I do a ton of solo gaming. I also really like New York Zoo and Isle of Cats. New to me that I enjoyed this month is Floriferous (thanks to your video on it!), The Whatnot Cabinet, Creature Comforts, and Obsession. Absolutely love Obsession! I also really like Uwe so I play Agricola, Caverna and have just gotten several more of his games to give a try solo. For regular nights where I'm tired from my day I prefer something lighter but several times a week I want crunchy. I just ordered The Gallerist and Lisboa which are both Lacerda games and I'm very excited to give them a go. My daughter plays with me 2X a week but she doesn't love heavy rules or complex games unless there is theme and she's an Artist so hoping Gallerist intrigues her - she's already agreed to play Rococco with me this weekend. LOVE the content! Thank you!!

Cascadia is also a great solo game. And the one on your back ground - Honey buzz- can also be played in a solo mode. But I haven't tried it yet.

I just got to play Creature Comforts with a group - how do you like the solo play? I felt like the 4 player was very long since each player has to take their turns separate - lots of downtime - I thought solo may actually be more fun because the flow would be better.

@@AmeepleFamily The solo mode is the same as the multiplayer with a chart with score ranges. I really liked taking my time to make the decisions. I can see how a four player game would feel long.

Hi. Your times are a little off. Game 5, ubongo, I am so happy that you mentioned this exact edition. Got it a few weeks ago, it's the best. 18:39 probably the dog was alarmed by the amount of animals you called, rats, zoo etc.

Would definitely recommend Tiny Epic Galaxies! Its from 1 to 4 players and its a great game with different difficulties! There's also Tiny Epic Dionsaurs which is great too but its a lot more fiddly!! They were my first solo games :)
