I came from your other solo video and truthfully the #1 in that list was a really suspicious one. That being said, I am very pleasantly impressed by this list and a mix of simple&small and more heavy&complex game selection and your choice for #1 was a cherry on top. I have had Ghost Stories for ages and have never gotten to play it, I just know/heard it's hard and I couldn't really get to chew through the rules and have people interested. You saying that I can actually play it solo and at least learn and enjoy it that way made my day. Thanks!

SOOOO glad this popped up in my feed, because I have never heard of any of these games (except Omniverse series) and they all look fun. Most solo lists have pretty much the same games in slightly different order, so was very refreshing to see a list with totally different variety. Thank you for making this video!

@@tabletoptokki For Aeon’s End, I only have the 2nd edition plus a couple expansions (The Void and The Nameless). Even that has given me good challenges/plays. I’ve read that War Eternal steps things up a bit and Legacy is a whole other direction. So I’m gradually starting from the beginning. But it is fantastic! Highly recommend it. And Hadrian’s Wall is wonderful too. A thinky puzzler that I find relaxing at the same time. So many great games, so little time! ;)

@Trent Dougan Yeah, I usually take my copy to work to play on lunch breaks, so it was the more functional option for that as well! Not sure how much of a video it'd be 😅 but I just made a lid for the bottom spacer in the purple box, which conveniently houses all of the dice perfectly. I bought Last Bastion and learned later that it was a remake of a game called ghost stories. I love Last Bastion, it's in my top 10 solo board game, but I wish I had bought Ghost stories (because there are expansions), but I dont want to buy the "same" game twice, so I hope there will be remakes for the expansions too! Finally excited to be able to try it out, as it was nearly impossible to get my hands on a copy of the physical game! ^^

I really want to check out some of these games on this list! I have played Onirim as the app game... and it's one of my grail physical games that I want to have so if I ever find it at a half decent price it will be mine! LOL! A couple of my favourite games I love to play solo are Lucidity: Six sided nightmare and Tiny Epic Dinosaurs. Lucidity more then the other. It's one of my top favourite games to play solo and as a rule only play it solo.. I did try it with another player and still would just rather play it solo even though I push my luck probably more then I really should!

As for Lucidity it is in my top favourite games and really look forward to what you might think of it (regardless of the opinion.). I just know I really enjoy it and usually talk about it with people. I rarely win but that seems to be part of the charm of trying it again! :)

@@tabletoptokki I don’t think I could pick a favorite! I think sylvion is my least favorite, just barely below the rest of them, but it’s still insanely good. But so much of it is in the front during the drafting phase which is a mechanism I’m not keen on in general. But for the rest of them I feel like I’d just bounce back and forth over and over going ‘oh but then this has…’ yea. Can’t pick a favorite lol. I haven’t yet played Urbanion, can’t wait until the deluxe edition comes out (apparently in the works?)

I tried to get Ghost Stories but was unable to get it before it got out of print. I hope I get to play it sometimes. My favorite solo is "Wh40k: Space Hulk: Death Angel The card game" 🤘😎🤘

I usually only have limited time for solo board gaming 😔 (a good problem to have, for sure), but I find these games work great for that. 😊 And no way! I didn't realize there's a solo mode for Letter Tycoon! Will get on it ASAP. 😮

Well, in the words of the song, where do I begin? With Warp's Edge, I'm sure that Duke & I are glad thay you admit that a sci-fi game can be compelling.... With games like Dead Men Tell No Tales (eagerly anticipated!), scaling back on KS means more money for games like this one. Ghost Stories? If it involves RNG, then I'm sure it's not for you, Tia.

Spell Smashers looks really interesting. I used to play a ton of Scrabble, so I will have to check it out. The Mico also happens to be my favorite artist 👍 Never heard of Maiden in the Forest before…looks like a Buttonshy game?

Oh man, 2 in 1 for Spell Smashers then! And yes, The Maiden in the Forest was picked up by Button Shy Games! Todd Sanders also put the PnP files up on BGG for free if you want to go that route as well. :)

Yes, love both games! I think the different mechanics in Flatline help to make it feel even more thematic than FUSE which is awesome fun to play as well but feels a bit more abstract. ^^ Noted; I'll call Renegade's direct line and let them know! 🤭

Comancheria by GMT games. I still haven’t beaten it and it’s quite a learning curve. But it has a great AI. Maybe too good. But the theme is great if you know anything about how powerful the Comanches were.

I’m new to board games (like, one week old lol) when you say the game is solo, does this mean the game has a mode for one player? Or does this mean the game does not have a mode for one player, but one player can play all the the positions available? Not sure if this makes sense the way I’m putting it… can anyone explain what solo means… I’m sure it’s a mix and depends on the game?

I have! Triplock was really interesting, but a bit too memory-heavy for my tastes. I've also played Too Many Bones, but I'm not a huge fan of miniatures games, and that's essentially what it was. Excited to hopefully try Burncycle someday though, as it seems a bit more puzzly. 😊
