Very nice to see this series get some attention. I have most that you show in SC, London and various London Decca reissues. Wonderful stuff. Thanks for a great informative video.

The Schubert Trout and the Falla are especially brilliant. Thx for your great videos, too. A real inspiration

@@AudiophiliaChannel Yes I'm a big fan of the Falla - the ORG is a beauty. Though I have the London and SC as well, I once had a "peak experience" with the ORG. I'll never forget that, It was like a moment where I completely let go of the knowledge that I was listening to a recording, and was swept away into another place. The system disappeared. It's wonderful hearing from the perspective of a conductor and musician. Thanks for all the effort.

@ThePressingMatters like my wife said (who really enjoys your videos, too), Scott is bad for your bank balance. lol I’ll look out for the OG. The Mendelssohn is superb. I have the a sealed ORG Scottish coming. And a 35lb box from Vinyl Storage Solutions lol

I would add Karl Bohm's recording of the Bruckner 4th symphony. Even so, I am not convinced that the vinyl LP has the durability of the compact disc, a medium that one must do something drastic (burning, crushing) to destroy it. Vinyl expands and contracts with heat flux, and that must degrade sound quality over time. Also, who can guarantee that one changes a needle in time? This said, early digital recording was mostly awful because the recording companies put recording on autopilot. My most satisfying recordings typically come from the pre-digital era (when recording was an art) and not after that.

The Bohm 4 is spectacular. But I’ve had such bad luck with the reissue vinyl, both damaged on arrival.

Yes would agree as long as you get the 2 disc version and not the 1 disc copy. Some of the best decca recordings were pressed by King Record in Japan.
