Michael, strongly agree on the quality of the Ella Fitzgerald sings the Duke Ellington Songbook - Speakers Corner is a superlative reissue! Also, the Thelonious Monk - It’s Monk’s Time is fantastic. Thanks for your enjoyable videos

That Duke and Ella box is probably my favourite Speakers Corner - just wonderful. I think Speakers Corner are under the radar in North America but not so much in Europe. Here in the UK they are affiliated with Pure Pleasure and the records are easy to come by and good value - I have many 😊.

I have to give Pure Pleasure records a try too, heard quite good things about them.

Pure Pleasure is a good label and they have probably around 300 releases now. For me the earlier ones are better and they often had Kevin Gray do the mastering then. More recent issues are not always clear on the source which is a shame. They do have a wide catalogue of blues jazz and rock though. I would recommend the Art Pepper 7 LP Box they did which is out of print but you can pick up relatively easily - stunning music and great sound and given your tastes one I think you would enjoy very much.

Excellent video, Michael. I enjoy the Speakers Corner version of Transformer so I think I'll grab Horses before it disappears. Good luck with the CL Final! Cheers, Tom

hello Michael, thanks for showing these records. My discogs account says there is a Speakers Corner record in my collection but doesn't show it... I may have one... I ordered few weeks ago (to my local store) Charles Lloyd live session "Forest Flower" and I'm waiting for it. This Monk could be the next one. You won and I'm happy with that (Paris is not France !). Take Care. Bruno

Oh man that Transformer edition is stunning. One of the best sounding records I own period, better even than some Classic records, Analogue Productions and Blue Notes. Speakers Corner are an underrated label in my opinion. I have Coltrane’s Love Supreme from Speakers Corner and it is quite superb.

Hi Michael, thanks the video. I am in Canada and had four vinyl records issued by Speakers corner. All of them are beautiful and I can see great quality control from the physical looks of the sleeves and records themselves. While playing them I found the sound always more than my expectation. I love the Dr. John Gris-Gris the most. There is one dealer in the city I reside carries some titles from Speakers corner. I found Speakers corner only accept mail-order. I will definitely check with the dealer whether he can help me get more titles from Speakers corner. I don't understand why analogue production and Mobile Fidelity's pressing become so expensive. I have some titles from analogue production and Mobile Fidelity but have no chance to compare sound quality of them with those with Speakers Corner as I do not have any single album from all of the three labels. Without watching your video, I don't even know Speakers Corner reissued Lou Reed - Transformer. I will definitely get a copy because a lot of early 1970s releases in Canada and States used Dynaflex. Thanks again.

Michael my AP Living Stereo Ravel Bolero arrived and it sounds great especially the crescendo brings my room alive, thanks for the recommendation. I also picked up AP 45 RPM Shelby Lynne Just a Little Lovin and I highly recommend it if you don’t already have it. As well as AP 45 RPM Rebecca Pidgeon The Raven was kinda Meh but I still like her version of Spanish Harlem on Chesky records. My favorite AP 45 still remains Muddy Waters Folk Singer and not much comes even close for me. Enjoy.

I would rate Speakers Corner as close to number one -- in 33.3 RPMs -- especially considering the variety of their reissue titles. They consistently have the fullest -- not thin sounding -- richest sound quality. They do superb work, and easily rival the originals in many cases -- in my opinion. All that for very reasonable prices. Kai's quality is the benchmark the rest should try to measure up to. In your opinion, how would you rate Speakers Corner sound quality to that of ERC's? Thanks for the video.

I recently bought the speakers corner edition of Donny Hathaways record 'Everything Is Everything'. But to be honest I was somewhat disappointed. The record has a lot of pops and surface noise in the quit parts. And especially a very annoying pop in the fade out of the last song on side B. Now don't get me wrong. I understand that the music is analogue and a little pop here and there is totally acceptable. But I have records that are much older that have absolutely no sound what so ever in between songs.
