I'll tell you this from experience, it's always better to use an actual market expert in situations like this so you don't end up losing your hard-earned funds. They know their way around the taxes and market better. Like you, I don't stay in the US, I stay in Canada but made my first six digits last year only, after more than a year of losing my hard-earned funds through trial & error investing through the US market. Frankly speaking, I did some analysis on IREDA and viewed some news gifts view on renewable energy. SO... I ... bought 300 shares of IREDA at 61rs each. It was my first investment with this big amount. It gave me a lot of gain and now my parents have no problem with me doing the stock market (I'm 19). Later on tx to the news I invested in IRFC which gave me a 70 to 80% return. Yeah ... my worst investment was Gandhar which made me a loss of 4k but I recovered it. I think ethanol stock i.e Dalmia sugar is the best stock to buy as ethanol is produced from sugarcane and as it will be blended 20% with petrol till 2025 demand will increased greatly . Although other sugar stocks are there such a Shree renuka sugar mills, etc the 2nd best stock would be Atul Auto as now i can see many ev Auto on roads
