S Tier music scores. Putting chills up my spine. Always appreciate the variety in sea Life. You could probably do a 24/7 channel of all cut in fed straight from live feeds and I would probably watch it, over cable and movies. Especially if it was scored and had natural sounds of the ocean mixed but not to overlap each other.

Amazing footage 21:55 Sea cucumbers play absolutely vital roles in marine ecosystems, including the redistribution of surface sediment and the nitrates and phosphorus they secrete.. yet many species are in peril globally due to serious over harvesting.. 😔 These animals are considered a great delicacy in East and Southeast Asia.. Seems very little is safe from humankind! 🤷🏻‍♀️ At least for now the creatures of the deepest deep can live a relatively undisturbed life.. _because man can't go there!_ 👍💚🦑 Really enjoyed the video and the music..

2:55 That's no jellyfish.. It's a _deep-sea ship!_ 🛸 I just love the footage.. and the amazing music track accompanying this captivating creature on its voyage.. 🎶💚 Always a joyful moment to see an upload from my beloved DSO..

The siphonaphore at the start is one of the strangest siphonaphores I've ever seen. If I could go back in time and restart my career I might go for a marine biologist specialized in siphonaphores. They are extremely interesting and I've studied them as an amateur. I livenat the beach and have more opportunities than most to do so. Thank you for your channel!😂🎉

The first one is actually a ctenophore, not a siphonophore, Anthony. Must admit, siphonophores facinate me heaps! I find it intriguing how each is actually a colony of individual parts which have their own jobs to do and all these parts stay connected as it grows.. It's mind boggling! 👍

Can these rovs calculate the direction and speed of the underwater currents while filming these creatures. I'm curious about how much movement is caused by currents and movements made by creatures.

Boa noite ao canal DSO, mais uma sequência de filmagens impressionantes captadas pelos ROVs o que torna possivel a visualização de espécies do mar profundo. A estrela aranha e esse caranguejo branco me chamou a atenção. Tantas espécies responsáveis pelo equilíbrio marinho e que sejam sempre preservadas. O conhecimento sobre o oceano é muito importante e essa mensagem tem que ser entendida por todas as gerações.

What is up with Sea Spiders?? If you're looking for a developmental research project. I notice that some (many?) families have species where what we think of as a defining part gets moved to different areas of the body. The Jelly at 26:02 appears to be upside down to other Jellies, Anglerfish usually have their lure on top of their head, but some have it on their lower jaw, I'm sure there are more interesting examples. How do you think that happens morphologically?

I think Nr. 1 is a mutant. If you look at the next one, that's similar, their bells are almost identical, their legs look so much alike. And one of Nr. 1. 's legs has a little "twig" on it's "knee", like it was branching out, but lost the other appendage (or it's growing out currently).

DeepseaOddities: Instead of longer videos containing 10 species, what about shorter videos that only contain 1 species? More videos, more ad revenue, possibly more subscribers, possibly more ad revenue. Could then also have playlists, each playlist containing 1 single species, or derivatives of that species.
@DeepseaOddities

DSO started out as what you're describing, shorter segments based around one creature, ie "Magnapinna Squids - Deepsea Oddities". Over time, those single animal videos have become less popular than the countdowns, and my goal is simply to give you guys what you want so that's why there's been more countdowns-- simply put, there seems to be a bigger demand for them. It's not like the single-creature/topic videos are extinct or anything, they're not; I just tend to reserve them for when it's something really special. And again, it seems people are largely more interested in long-form content on this channel now, but I'm always happy to change it up sometimes. Thanks for your comment! 🦑

@@DeepseaOddities Thank you for responding, surely you must either give the customers what they want to stay in business so to speak, or just post what you truly believe you should post, which might not be what the customers want, but what you feel what you want to post, but then could potentially hurt one's income. I am sure deep underwater explorations are not cheap. As a 'customer' of your posts, of which I enjoy, I will give you a brief insight into my psyche. While trying to learn more about reality, and outer space exploration, I am fascinated by these deep sea creatures, extremophiles, and even microbes (some microbes of which seem to have consciousness, memories and thoughts, even though they do not have a physical brain). At this time in my analysis of my theory of everything idea (currently dependent upon the results of my gravity test, but 'if' true), then the 'gem' photon is the eternally existent energy unit of this universe that makes up everything else in existence throughout existence. Now it is just figuring out how those interacting 'gem' photons actually make 'life' and to possibly explore what other 'life' might be able to be created. Gives me something to do at this time of my existence, besides 'never stop learning'.

@@DeepseaOddities I responded to your comment, but for some reason it is not showing here on my screen. KZbin has apparently been doing that to me lately, (even though I am not posting anything against their posting policies as far as I am aware of). Long story short, thank you for what you are doing.
