True leaders don't create followers. They create more leaders. Getting the most out of life isn't about how much you keep for yourself but how much you pour into others. I really agree with Patrick! Thanks for this! :D Hi guys! We own a cookie shop business in our college town. When we first started it, we were living in our car with very little direction, just a huge passion to be successful. We just graduated college as well. We started a cookie shop out of a local bagel shop in their off hours at night. We were living in our car in the parking lot of the shop at the time with my boyfriend, Bran. It was a crazy experience but it worked! We became a success! And how we have our first storefront location (a second launching soon!) We started it to fund a year long backpacking trip around the world and to be successful while living the life of our dreams.

Having confidence is also very key...and never show the signs of weaknesses as people may percieve you as an insecure person......
@fishhuntadventure
@fishhuntadventure 3 жыл бұрын
Nah, vulnerability is key to developing trust. Your belief system is flawed. It’s not about “not showing signs of weakness” and that phrase to me says, 1) you’re hiding something 2) you believe yourself to not just have weaknesses. you believe you are weak We all have weaknesses and strengths. ‘Not showing signs of weakness’ is entirely different, a different attitude. It’s a ‘sign’ of being incompetent or insecure in yourself. Consistency, dependability, and moral fidelity are things you do, things that are a product of choices we make daily, things that show signs of strength. You become what you focus on: focus on strength and growing and ‘weakness’ is sortof irrelevant. Syrength comes from within not from without. A person with skinny, pale, weak arms “projecting strength” ain’t lifting 4 plates. In the end he can’t hide his ‘weakness.’ So he can either just present himself at face value (good!) or start lifting 4 times a week (also good!) but you can’t be what you’re not and even if you’re a good liar the skilled lie ain’t gonna have you pressing 225 at 20 reps. So forget about signs of weakness, just develop strengths.

Love this Pat I love the way you approach the interview process about a person’s background i.e parents and how they were treated and whether they have some pain they draw to drive them. Also the responders and initiators. The language people use is also very important and identifying self-starters! #inspirationnation

@navykennedy1
@navykennedy1 5 жыл бұрын
Patt. So I really liked this video. I agree with every single one of your criteria except for one point, and that would be the upbringing. My personal experience in life was growing up with a family who completely diagreed with all of my passions. My mother and my father both compared me to my sister, who went on to get a masters and was a great athlete in highschool, getting a scholarship to ohio state and I felt like the loser and the worthless younger brother. Both my parents didn’t believe in me, so I left and joined the navy. After getting kicked out of the navy, and becoming homeless for a while, I came across people who DID believe in me, who saw potential in me, and directed me to resources that ended up allowing me to get rid of me ego and develop a mindset that is very similar to every single trait you have here aside from the upbringing. So maybe I am an exception to this rule, because most people would stay the way that they are. Being homeless and going to rock bottom Shoved me in a position to either deal with my problems and keep the ego, or devote my life to change and service towards others. Patrick I admire all of your videos, and I will be an entrepreneur one day. Thank you so much for your content and I’m looking forward to future videos! Good Day!
