The Haptic Engine makes the OS feel like it's alive, the way they've implemented the different haptics throughout the OS is brilliant. The Attention Aware feature in FaceID is nothing short of genius, the way it lowers the volume of incoming notifications or alarm clock is absolutely brilliant! The fluidity and smoothness of the gestures and UI are second to none. The continuity between different Apple devices is great. IMO Apple's hardware design is not only industry-leading but also the most beautiful! When you add up all the different things you get an experience that's unmatched in the tech industry. Apple's obsessive attention to detail is why people love their products, also their retail stores are also a thing of sheer beauty!

So I just started using an iPhone 12 about 3 weeks ago and I have to say…it’s a really good phone, it makes me feel like all the android phones out there whit all these crazy spaces and features feel like gimmicks when you start using an iPhone. Example, 90hrz screen.. the iPhone has a 60hrz screen but it’s sooooo smooth it don’t really need a faster one. 3+ cameras.. no need if you have 2 that perform perfectly in almost any situation. Yeah you have the sense that you “get” more for your money with a Samsung but in real world use, you really don’t when the iPhone is so reliable. I am going to get and try the pixel 6a just because but I feel that my sim will remain in the iPhone for quite some time. Grate video, very well done liked and subscribed.

For me one of the most convenient subtle features is the built-in dictionary. I’m an English teacher from Brazil and read a lot of stuff in English. So every time I come across a word I’m not familiar with, all I have to do is highlight that word and hit “look up”. Then I’m presented with a pretty comprehensive dictionary entry and rarely have to resort to other dictionary apps I have.

The major reason why I switched to apple is the longevity of the device. My wife's iphone 11 pro max is still smooth and performing compared to my note 10 plus which was killed by major updates. Funny thing is samsung flagship costs more than apples. But I kinda miss some android features especially their notification but I dont want to upgrade my phone every 2 to 3 years so buying an iphone actually saves uou money than buying an android flagship.
@robmalcolm80422 жыл бұрын
Really? I got a iPhone 13 and a old pixel but on the side I also got a note 10+ and it still works fine I’m surprised to hear that since I’ve heard many people say their Samsungs work years later. You have a good point as well the downside to all of that is app support is shorter on iPhone. A 10 year old android was able to use the KZbin app and 10 year old iPhone wasn’t able to. I can confirm this myself since I have a old iPad 2 that has the last iOS version it can use and that’s already obsolete so even tho it works still it’s already starting not to be able to download any app anymore and apps are acting wierd even safari is much slower sometimes not working at all so In reality that is just so you can eventually upgrade apple doesn’t like its old devices where as android and windows can always be used someway or somehow. The OS are just fragmented is the issue which is why google really needs to do something about android like make everything fushcia OS or something
@OliverMagoo8 ай бұрын
@@robmalcolm8042 That type of problem is more likely to happen on Android devices than iPhones. Apple supports iOS much longer than most Android devices are supported, though Samsung and Google have changed that recently for their latest flagship phones. I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab A that I've tried to install apps on but it won't let me because they either aren't compatible with my device or need a later version of Android. I basically just use it as a Kindle now.
@robmalcolm80428 ай бұрын
@olivermagoo4595 no one is talking about OS support. App support apple has always been bad with. Itll work for alot of years until it doesnt unless you jailbreak. An android can use alot longer and legacy apps so we talking at least 10 plus years and still can use browsers etc. Which samsung and google support for 7 years now I Wana see what iphone can use safari at a decent enough speed or at all in 7 years.
@robmalcolm80428 ай бұрын
@olivermagoo4595 as for your situation that never happened to my older androids but you have apks and older version legacy apps. You can have work arounds if you check up on it. Apple you can't do that period once the apps no longer work the only option is to jailbreak to be usable. There's a reddit where a guy had a 10 year old android still able to use KZbin app and the and the same 10 year old iphone couldn't load the app anymore.

Haptics - flagship androids have great Haptics Optimized charging - more flexible options are avaliable over android. You can charge upto 85% ecah time etc. Smooth OS - i don't think android is not smooth any more. Also we get more control over animation speed. It can all be adjusted and tuned over the android. @@michellem86 I use both an iPhone and an android. I have no idea why some people say iOS apps are not buggy. I have faced many time app crashes and device getting hot due to apps over iOS. Apple's own podcast app as well as the music app causes heavy heating and battery drain on two of the iPhones in my family (regular 12 and 13). I have never faced such issues over top end android phones. iOS has more consistent animations, but the gestures are very inconsistent and old. Many apps have a left top back button which is not one hand friendly. Some apps support top to bottom swipe while others dont. In some places the left back swipe works while it doesn't at many other places and we are forced to use the back button using two hands (phones are big and the Ui is not optimised). Only 4 icons on the dock, no iOS optimisation for large displays. I am not saying android is better but ios is no better than android in any way. There are trade offs on both platforms. But iOS can easily fix the issues compared to android but apple is not willing to do it. What comedy is the fact that ipads dnt hv a Cal app, no t9 serch over iOS, no app drawer etc

Alot more customisation, use third party launchers, active wallpaper, customise icons, build your own widgets 4. Active Widgets 5. Always on Display 6. Secure Folder - virtual AES256K folder, extra layer of security, where you can basically setup a second phone withhin a phone 7. Samsung DEX - computer desktop on external display 8. Reverse Power Charge 9. USB C 10. Can have multiple profiles for social media apps 11. Side Bar 12. alot more settings in notifcations, quick reply in notifications 13. app refund on google play store 14. side load apps 15. access to developer settings - alot more settings to choose from 16. Samsung Goodlock 17. Edge Panel

I have many things I like and don’t like about iPhones. All the things in the video are valid points, the main reason I got the iPhone this time was because it was the only compact phone I could find and the Music Store, as google killed play music. I don’t like that android pretty much has killed the compact size. But I feel so restricted on iOS. The hotspot on iPhone is unreliable, I always get less signal on iPhone than android on same carrier, not able to use it on Linux or copy folders on a simple way it’s crazy, for some reason, every time I get a message or notification on iPhone and I’m playing a 3d intensive game the game stutters like crazy, not being able to send a video on telegram or WhatsApp while I go to another app, because the iPhone stops sending the video as soon as I go to another app, the same happens if I’m downloading a game on the background, I have to stay the whole time there watching the loading game otherwise it does not finish. But yes, faceid is good and seems very secure, Apple privacy efforts are better, the ability to stop apps permission and tracking better is really good. The OS feels smoother many times, and that comes down to the fact they don’t use Java for programming, memory management is more efficient. The camera in my opinion does not take better pictures but it’s more reliable and faster
@robmalcolm80422 жыл бұрын
Apple basically pauses/really kills a app every time that’s what it is and it sucks for multitasking and reasons you mentioned. I do notice many superior things about android that you have mentioned as well. File management is better but nothing like androids. As well as many other proprietary crap but otherwise it’s a very reliable phone. It’s good for just that.

Just switched to an iPhone 2 months ago. Love the Face ID & shortcuts/automations. Miss the notification icons & haptic keyboard feedback (iOS 16 feature)

I usually charge my iPhone for bout 2 hours before going to bed, and I switch of the power. In the morning I switch the power on to let it charge to 100%.

There's no doubt that Apple makes good phones but the majority of these features have been on Android first. Great video though!

My first iPhone was an iPhone 7. After that I had the iPhone XR, 11, then I sold to try the galaxy S21. I bought a Galaxy S21 in may/2022 and last week for some reason I couldn´t make a reservation in the Booking app. Then I tried to reinstall the app, didnt work... Then I tried to make the same reservation on my girfriend´s iPhone 12 and worked. Tried later with my Galaxy and with my dad´s iPhone 12 pro and got the same result Sold my Galaxy S21 two days later and bought an iPhone 13 Also, it´s the little things like the colour profile of the camera, smoothness, keyboard precision, consistency with the battery life and with iOS

How iPhone smartly recommends to save passwords in keychain, hides my email address, haptics & 3D Touch, reliable camera, real-time results as you edit, streamlined settings, Siri Shortcuts among others.

also the accessibility features on iOS are the best in the industry, you look at things like live captions where the phone listens to and tells you what is being said for hard of hearing, VoiceOver is the best screen reader ever especially with the braille screen input for typing.. Android is so fragmented that their accessibility features are just not as refined... also things like assistive touch, or sound detection for door bells ect.. I would definetly add accessibility features to this list.
@NevaehBeatez Жыл бұрын
All of these available on Android. Don't know if you've ever used an Android, or how long ago it was, but all these same accessibility features have been available on Android for a while.

Samsung gives all these features since oneui was launched years back and android os didn't had these but samsung added these optimizations and people are still not aware about it.
