RvP didn't betray Arsenal. As we have to believe what he said in an interview, his contract was coming to an end and Arsenal took to long to start new negotiations for a renewal. And he wanted to win the Premier League, so those are some of the reasons why he left. Not sure if true of course, but he said something along those lines.

Its interesting to see the comments about Sancho. As a german and BVB fan I was there when he joined I was there from the rumours to the actual transfer and his seasons until the transfer to Man Utd. First of all I find it weird that we call that a betrayal of what he did: 1) Sancho was 17! When he took the risk going abroad. You all just retrospectively look at it. But when he was 17. Had a very good season in the U18 & U21 (which also debunks some claims of him being a flop of some sort since he had like 26 contributions in 29 games and was rated highly). He just wanted guarantees regarding his playtime which understandably Guardiola couldn´t give him, And Sancho himself thought he deserved, don´t know why anyone wants to hold it against him, either you want him to be competitive and mature or accept that we either look it at it individually or more distantly. Man City splurged back then and weren´t known to build up Talent, rather buying them. Which btw, is true till this day (Although tbf their academy pumped some great talents into the market just didn´t make it into the main squad). Since only Phil Foden made it to the main squad, until this year when Rico Lewis appeared and impressed. So from 24 Talents who debuted under Guardiola only one continuously impressed and has a place in the team (Foden), while Lewis still has to be consistently good in order to permanently cement themself. So knowing about the high competition, the lack of playtime and trust in order to develop. Why not get playtime elsewhere? 2) BVB back in the day had a great reputation fostering talent, counting on them and putting trust in them. What started under Klopp has been continued. We are like the final step until the talent can get to the likes of mancity, real Madrid, Barcelona etc. And the most important aspect. It´s far away from the press and the gossip magazines of the PL, who rightfully so have a big interest in the affairs of PL and it´s players but that can sometimes be at the detriment of said players themself. So why not develop in silence under a club far way from the eyes of the PL until you are good enough. He was no Superstar when he arrived at BVB he was a highly rated Supertalent. He had a Market Value (by Transfermarkt) from 5 Million when he joined and left with like a 130 Million Market value. Take it however you want. The choice to move to BVB was the right one back then. He had over 110 contributions in 130 games plus. 3) Sancho came from Watford, Stayed at mancity for 2-3 years and left. Stayed at bvb 3 years and left. Only big mistake he has done is going to Man Utd amidst their ambiguous performances and their slow and steady decline. Switching trainers constantly didn´t help him either, He needed the trust and no one could give him that. Also he had injuries in the last year in Germany and that swept over to his new club as well. Didn´t positively impact his career as well. So I don´t see where Sancho until his last move had major fuck ups. Basically you just measure him at success he had somewhere else and apply a what if scenario. But even then I don´t even see where he betrayed a manager he hasn´t even started under for one game. He maybe was promised a chance but maybe or maybe not he wanted more and saw a better option. Rather than putting on some people who weren´t even adults at the time they supposed to betray their managers maybe look at players who ignored and refused to play for their clubs in order to force a move to another club. Since that is what I would call is a bigger betrayal than wanting a starting spot and be promised play time. After all if Guardiola had promised his maybe or maybe not outrageous conditions he surely wouldn´t have left.

And what is out of order? I also see your comment somewhere else. I don't remember you specifying. You never reiterate what he did that was so wrong of him. Did he break promises? Did he kill someone? Are you somehow affected? I saw many more disgraceful acts than a 17-year-old getting playtime somewhere else. FFS he wasn´t even managed by Pep. it was his u18 coach. What kind of attachment do you want them both to have? it´s all systematic and not a family environment. People fight for their paychecks, they fight for playtime, they fight for stardom. So what makes his actions a disgrace and out of order is what not everyone else already had done. I hope you better have the receipts because I am highly doubtful that there is anything as near as serious as you make it out to be.

I don't get why City fans are mad about it, look at the careers now, we kept the better player (Foden) that's all I care about, ever since leaving he has just been another kid that has yet to live to the potential, and now he is not getting any younger, I doubt he will live up too it. Foden stayed Blue and true, and he now has a cabinet of trophies to show for it.

@@mythix5906 I have been following City since the Robinho days and when they got Yaya Toure and Aguero. Marvelous times. Many players have came from BVB (and I am not salty about it, actually I am happily going from one club I like to another I like, and being successful just speaks for the excellent work of BVB and ManCity's keen eye). It´s weird how we all see through a "fan" lens. His peak he had and the potential he showed maybe have never flourished under Pep. Maybe Foden was just a better fit. It´s not like if we look at the likes of Sane and Sterling that they had good times at Man City but eventually fellfell out of favor and had droughts that frustrated the fans. And Sancho is alsoa technical player within identical position. Could have been a victim of that too. Maybe not even having 1:10 of the starting time they had. I think Sancho still has it in him to be a very good player like the likes of Zaha. But yes, I don´t think he will reach absolute stardom and live up to the expectations people put on him. At the end of the day, Foden got the better deal, and he got rewarded for not being hasty. But still defaming Sancho and downplaying the career he especially had in the Bundesliga is weird in my eyes. Gündogan, Akanji and Haaland were great additions to City. Lehmann, Rosicky, and Aubameyang are other names that took the premier league by storm. Of course there were some bittersweet disappointments. Especially Mkhitaryan and Kagawa. I wanted them to succeed very badly. But it wasn´t supposed to be.

Sooooooo many players think they're bigger than any club they play for! imo this is mainly due to their HUGE wage demands (KNOW as GREED)that inevitably inflate their egos! For the sake of the game worldwide, again imo, FIFA & UEFA need to work out a way to "level the playing field" by implementing some form of spending-cap control, so that not just the so-called richest teams win EVERYTHING! Fans ARE getting fed up with the same teams winning as they have all the best players! I support Liverpool FC, one of the so called "big six" and don't see a fair premier league!
