Hallo . 1st of all thanks for all good videos for DR . I have an issue tho . I wana use Davinci Resolve to edit my videos and when i try to import the files from Sony ZV1 its like i can import the sound and i can not import the video . I am thinking that probably the file format of Sony ZV1 (MP4/XAVC S UHD 4K (3840 x 2160) at 23.976p/25p/29.97p [60 to 100 Mb/s] Full HD ) is not acceptable by the free version of DR . If i am right do you know if the Payed ... DR Studio recognize the file type of Sony ZV-1 files ? or can you gimme a solution to my problem please ? Thanks a lot

Hi Billy , please I need a help as you have mentioned in 01:24 . I have been trying to export a video in DR17 but when the rendering reaches about 20% where there is clip I had done a speed ramp (1000times speed) the rendering gets stuck and crash after some 20-30 minutes. I tried the auto KZbin export settings, Custom 4k and then 1080p but nothing seems to help. Could give me an idea. Soon you will have 100k. Congratulations in advance

DaVinci Resolve 17 free Windows 7 SP1 x64 After installation, there was an error with the cfgmgr33. Fixed bug via HxD and copying cfgmgr33 file to DaVinci Resolve root directory. Then an error appeared when starting the program: "Resolve.exe is not a valid Win32 application" smd (start from admin) sfc / scannow and reboot - does not help; reinstallation does not help; What else can you do?

As for "Render in Place": if I have an Adjustment Clip, is the effect of that applied in Render in Place? If yes, then the Adjustment Clip must be disabled for the final render so that those effects are not applied twice. Am I right here?
@2424rocket
@2424rocket 2 жыл бұрын
No… I believe what you have to do is take your adjustment clip and your video and nest it together…in resolve it’s called a compound clip. Turn it into a compound clip and then render in place.
@LaszloParkanyi
@LaszloParkanyi 2 жыл бұрын
@@2424rocket Thank you! Why I didn't think of that? That is the way to do it. I wonder, what happens if the adjustment clip extends to the whole length of the timeline? Better to apply all the filters in the adjustment clip to timeline level nodes or cut it up to clips? I'am going to experiment with it... Thank you once again.
@2424rocket
@2424rocket 2 жыл бұрын
No, just take what you need, cut up the adjustment layer and combine it with the video. But only for the clips you need to do it to. Don’t try to do it at the whole timeline. Before I start a project I pretty much change all the clips to Prorez. You should start considering that or if you’re on a PC, To whatever codec your computer plays with nicely.
@LaszloParkanyi
@LaszloParkanyi 2 жыл бұрын
@@2424rocket My method is somewhat similar to yours, I just transcode the clips to DNxHDR_LB (smaller size, bitrate is 150MB/s). This method, however, is problematic in archiving a project as huge files must be stored.

The unlinked media is a pain in the ass. The main reason is: when I cut the footage, and make all what I needed at certain time, once relinked, DaVinci lost the time reference/link between the original footage and the “zone” on the timeline. Hence I had to redo the whole montage. It’s my nightmare ever since. On any project, I just hope it doesn’t occur. I'm not sure I was clear enough to make understand what's occurring. Let say: the footage is 20 seconds long. I cut out the first 5 seconds, then ot should start from second 5 till second 20 (15 seconds in total). When relinked, the footage doesn't start form second 5, but from second 0. Hence, I have to redo the cut.
@BillyRybka
@BillyRybka 2 жыл бұрын
Ive never heard anything ever happen like that before. If it was then resolve would be updated and it would be fixed. Its a basic feature in any NLE, Personally its never happened once to me or my team over the past 3 years. Resolve keeps the time markers and everything. You are not giving it new footage, but re-linking the footage you made the cuts on. I personally edit on 2 computers, one laptop, one desktop. When I would switch computers the drive letter can show up different. So that means resolve wont recognize the location. Relinking files will get everything back without messing up any timing. If you are replacing media however and the timing is different on 2 clips, then stuff will be missed up.
@Not-Only-Reaper-Tutorials
@Not-Only-Reaper-Tutorials 2 жыл бұрын
@@BillyRybka I don’t replace any media. I just relink the one it did unlinked (without any reason. The file was not moved/renamed/else). Inhave not clue how to explain it but it concerns me.
