WWE did end up pairing Heidenreich with Heyman, but the weirdest it ever really got was on-camera, non-consensual sodomy. Umm.

The number 1 sounded a lot like Captain America theme from Marvel Comics. Marvel Comics would of sued over copyright infringement. See...Captain America was frozen after WW2 in order to be revived in the modern time. So...WWE was lucky they never did this gig because Marvel Comics would of owned WWE.

Ngl, I think it’s just as weird to see a fake Cuban duking it out with Shawn Michaels in a ladder match as a fake G.I.

Considering John Morrison would do a Jim Morrison gimmick several years later and make it a success, not sure why it would be “behind the times” in the late 90’s. Also, there was talk that Baron Von Bava was, at one point, supposed to debut alongside Hirohito and do an entire WW2 Axis powers stable.

Crossed the point from "Outdated" to "Nostalgic" I guess? Somethin' like that. Plus he looks a fuckton like Morrison, admittedly.

Minus the Paul Heyman pairing, the Baron von Bava idea sounds exactly like something Vince would have considered in the 80's & early 90's. I mean, Iron Shiek, Nikolai Volkoff, a turncoat Sgt Slaughter, it's right in his wheelhouse. AWA also had Colonel DeBeers, so this idea might have been pushed through if it had come along a little earlier and didn't suggest pairing a Jewish manager with a recently-thawed from-cryogenic-state Nazi soldier 🙄
