Egyptian gods may come next, but ultimately I think the entire thing will end with Kratos dying against Hindu Gods, therefore turning Atreus into full blown Loki on a rampage. Then we have a Loki game. Never considered Celtic and Shinto though....hmm..

Being that Sony wanted to do an "Egypt" game and that we as players like to kill gods, My theory is, is that Zeus fled Greece and found himself in Egypt. Insert storyline here and Kratos is forced to defend himself / help someone whilst having PTSD issues. In the end of the Game he finds transport that will send him to either to the Norse Mythology or any other place and the start of hope that he might have a better live. I believe that Valhalla tied up all the knots for his actions whilst in Greece.

The biggest problem is now the age of Kratos voice actor, Christopher Judge. He is currently 59 and if he holds out, we can probably as him to act in 2 more games. Would love for him to stay as Kratos a little while longer.

I can see where they’re coming from. Games take forever to make these days and it’s not just doing his voice. It’s also motion capture. Chris Judge already has had major surgeries during the creation of Ragnarok. On the flip side. The man absolutely loves the role and the fans love him. I don’t see him giving up the role just because he’s aging. I think we could get at least another game with him

Celtic is too similar to Norse. The recent popularity of Japanese mythology would be logical. Chinese mythology would also be interesting to explore. Egyptian mythology is less interesting at the moment. Especially the desert decor is kind of boring.

This new series was a fine way to expand on Kratos' story in a natural feeling way. To throw him into yet another pantheon would feel like a stretch on the narrative (unless they plan on going even further and we eventually come to understand him as the God of all Gods of War).

Kratos is now the "God Of Hope" his wife has said hope since game one of this saga and he says it himself at the end of the dlc. I believe he will travel the realms trying to bring hope and fighting for it. Egypt, China, maybe the Amazonian.

I remember in Ragnarok post game Mimir mentioned how in order to get the army of Helheim to fight for their side the bird wanted someone to take over its position in Norse mythology that is one of Loki's children Hel its possible if an Atreus spin off does come true we could see him eventually create her like how he did with the world serpent and Fenrir

I can see them doing at least something for the 20th anniversary of God Of War but not all three, especially with 3 already getting a remaster on ps4 on the 10th anniversary. They will probably remaster 1 and (or) 2....also thanks for reminding me the series is 20 years old...lol

Since Atreus has those Soul Marbles he's also on a quest to find new bodies for the Giants inside them. Which could take him to nearly any mythology and meet/create the well known characters and creatures from them.

Something I expect from the next game, is that from the Norse Realm, the Gods like Kratos, Freya, Sif (and to lesser degree Týr who wants to stay more in the background), as well as representatives from Alfheim and Svartalfheim, rule a peace council. This might bother Gods in different pantheons who see it as a threat to their rule, as it might give others the "wrong ideas". But the first to act on it, would be the Egyptian pantheon, a pantheon with the reputation of being good and reasonable. Perhaps under the guise of a threat to their pantheon, either from inside their realm like Seth or from outside forces), which would lure out Kratos and Freya, only to discover the ruse and how this pantheon has taken technology and information from other realms (similar to Odin), might already have taken from Greece what they could and now want to do the same with the Norse realm with the fall of Odin... Alternative: they could trick Kratos into believing Atreus was in trouble in his search for the giants, luring him to Egypt while we later learn that Atreus is with an entire different pantheon. Once again, switching between Kratos and Atreus, with flashback segments with Atreus (before he got in trouble), so we still can have some gameplay with him and than they can set up the next pantheon (I'm not sure if Egypt has enough monsters to justify multiple titles in this setting, the only things I think off are Apophis and Ammut as boss monsters, a few gods as bosses and giant Scorpions, Crocodiles and Hippopotamus hybrids as opponents... The undead could be mummies).

What I hope for is: More DLCs for Ragnarok: - Return to Greece DLC (teased in Tyr's temple in God of War 2018) - Sigrun DLC (follow up to Valhalla) - Tyr DLC (Following Tyr's journey before Kratos' arrival) - Faye DLC (Showing Faye's past before God of War 2018 including her fight against Thor in Vanaheim) [These can be short campaigns similar to the single character journeys we got in Batman Arkham Knight] Then, a side game following Atreus' journey after Ragnarok alongside Angraboda and Thrud - Possibly even having a fight against Sindri to get reconciliation between the two - Additionally, maybe Tyr can help Atreus as he did Kratos by mastering his past - possibly fighting Modi, Baldur and Odin in some sort of ancestral plain - Although it may not happen, I would love to see Thor be resurrected in the side game Finally, for God of War VI, I think Kratos and Atreus will visit the Aztec pantheon - This was teased during Valhalla with the weapons during the tyr fights Spear/Shield: Greek/Nordic Macuahuitl: Aztec Khopeshs: Egyptian Nodachi: Japanese

To be fair, though, they also heavily teased Celtic mythology as well. And I think they should stick to mythologies.People don't know much about for a while. So Celtic and mesopotamia would be the best option to me.

I would love very much for a future God Of War title to go into the Celtic Pantheon lands (which include Britain, France, Spain, and Ireland), but if they do that, I want to see ANOTHER pantheon in addition to the Celtic Pantheon in that game. In God Of War Ragnarok, there is a small bit of dialogue where Mimir mentions Nimue, the Lady Of The Lake. With that one line, Mimir pretty much confirmed that ARTHURIAN mythology also exists in the God Of War universe, and as such, ever since I heard that dialogue I have been filled with a burning desire to see Kratos teaming up with King Arthur. Here's my idea for how a "Kratos meets Celtic and Arthurian mythology" could work: As a reward for their actions in life, the characters of Arthurian mythology (King Arthur, Merlin, Morgan Le Fay, the Round Table Knights, etc.) have ascended to godhood and become their own pantheon. However, because they live in Britain, which is one of the lands under the Celtic Pantheon's jurisdiction, this is causing tension between the two pantheons (two pantheons living side by side is bound to cause problems for the mortals they depend on for worship not knowing WHO to worship, and also the Celtic Pantheon might view the ascension of the Arthurian Pantheon to godhood as a lesser form of godhood compared to being BORN as gods). When Kratos and his crew hear about this, they journey to Britain and the Celtic lands to help make peace between the two pantheons.

Kratos becomes the defender of the, well.. 8 realms from an invasion that's going to happen. Maybe try fix what Odin did when disguised as Týr. Kratos will have the ability to travel to other pantheons, too. He did accept Freyas offer so defending the realms is what I think will happen

If they were to try and follow another God of war from another Pantheon, a cool idea if done right is that it is one that already has found peace but we following them in a game or 2 go through some tribulations/heartbreaks/whatever that could make them break into madness and revenge. That God of War then goes on a rampage spilling on about on how peace doesn't resolve things and only causes more problems and to have real piece he wants to rule, but with lack of support or whatever idk, they go killing other Gods and pantheons disturbing peace looking for support or just doesn't want anyone else to have peace like he did and then eventually runs into the norse pantheon disturbing Kratos and yk kratos gotta do his thang. Just a lil idea that should have more details but just a rough thought.

This...... with Atreus venturing out, he some stumbles into a Rebuilt Greece, but now as the Roman Empire. The remaining Gods have renamed themselves. Even though it won't happen because it's kind of a niche genre, an Atreus spin-off game in the Metroidvania style would be super cool. Ubisoft's The Lost Crown was highly praised, so it would be nice to see more triple A studios try out a genre like that, but with triple A production quality and the same great acting we've seen from their actors. I can't be the only one getting a little burnt out on over the shoulder action games where the combat is always on the ground.

I wouldn't mind a pantheon or others invading the Norse world with the goal to specifically kill Kratos. I mean let's look at it he is the sole reason 2 pantheons fell and we know that the fall of Greece reached other lands as the Norse gods knew of the death of the Greek gods and Mt Olympus. Would be a chaotic and action packed game where Kratos becomes the hunted

The only narrative that I find plausible is that Atreus’ search for the other giants it’s gonna take him to far away lands and clash with other mythologies. Kratos and co. will have to help him but probably in the next games is Atreus who’s gonna be the main protagonist.

For everyone saying egypt I don't think that should be the next step. What's great about what they did with norse mythology is that they didn't have to rely on just characters people know about because of the MCU. If anything they should use a mythology next that many people don't have Much knowledge in so it could be a complete twist and surprise. Mesopotamia and Celtic, mythology and Japanese would be next in my opinion. My main reason for saying egypt should not be the next would feel too final. If they want to continue after Egypt, people would be like, why do we care? Who needs the other mythologies? Now If they do Egypt, it should be the very last game.

What if they made a sequel that is in two parts: First part that is focusing on Atreus on his search for the other giants and the game ends where Atreus returns home and reunites with Kratos leading to the second part of the game.

I have my theory, but it sounds farfetched, I think there is a new game for the Norse, but I think we go up against Loki (not Atreus) but actual Loki, I think Loki has been secretly hiding in game manipulating events just waiting for the right moment to control all of the nine realms. that's my thought.

Atreus goes searching Giants in other pantheons with periodic stops back home to spend time with Angrboda and with Kratos. He leaves on another journey to search for them but is gone for a long time. Angrboda finds Kratos and tells him of a vision she has had of Atreus being in trouble or captured. Kratos goes to rescue Atreus.

If there is a atrues spin off hopefully its named differently because if its named God of war well everyone knows its Kratos they expect it to be Kratos and is kratos. Also of there is anrw god of war game hopefully its linear like the old god of war games with with new mechanics because the open world thing im not a fan of. Also so they could add more boss fights and bigger ones. Having to use resources in open world limits other aspects thats why i liked god of war 2018 more. Its was more linear.

I think that Atreus will leave midgard in search of the giants while also trying to discover who or what Loki is while he's doing that due to the strories from Kratos as well as his own curiosity he decides to visit his father's homeland meeting the various people, creatures and the left over demigods as well as the rest of the pantheon while learning everything he unlocks the magic of the land that his father had destroying that which kept it from the land as well as restoring his father's powers from God of War Ascension the powers from the rest of the games go back to Olympus he goes to his father's God of War realm finding a weapon the Nemesis whip as soon as he gets to Sparta Sindri is there for revenge while this was happening Angroboda went to the Egyptian pantheon looking for giants it will split perspectives between them making the game longer instead of Spiderman : Miles Morales 8 - 12 hour gameplay it would have a run time from 12- 48 hours

I know kratos would definitely love for a way to be rid of the blades however the axe was one of the last things of Faye left that kratos could keep so he wouldn't give it up so easily unless atreus was gonna die if not. It also would make sense if some future threat could steal thors hammer from thrud. As no other weapon could match it except for the leviathan axe. So as cool as the idea sounds: realistically it wouldn't go down for those reasons.

If they follow the real life timeline. By the time the Vikings invade the rest of Europe, many polytheistic pantheons have become extinct because Rome made Christianity the empire's official religion. Christianity eventually made its way north too. I would assume in Kratos after the events of GoW Ragnarök begins to hear rumors that mortals in Midgard are worshiping a strange new god. Tyr could inform Kratos that he is familiar with it, as the person who founded it may have been a good friend and mentor among others before returning home. However Tyr could warn his friend had a powerful rival more devious than even Odin to be wary of.

I think the Atreus game will reintroduce Odin and the Norse pantheon. Plus the Jotnar lineage, quest. Sony won't be involving Kratos in the Norse saga Kratos has the ship from Freyr so he can journey elsewhere if necessary. I still want him to go back to Greece, but that should be the LAST game for Kratos. Kratos is on the council is nice... but what prompts him to wander out his "comfort zone",and seek confrontation?

The whole atreus and kratos being peaceful is a total turn off, I need loki (atreus) to turn evil, and PLEASE don't make kratos look older like "Old Snake". Nobody wants to play god of war without kratos
