Thank you for telling us dengvaxia has a 81.9% reduction in symptomatic dengue for people who had dengue before. That is useful information

Glad you debunked the papaya leaves drink and frog legs soup. I'm not so convinced on these when I had dengue, because results from my googling mentioned the importance of water and drink until pee is clear over anything else. I took the drink and soup just to give my mom a peace of mind (in addition to water drinking) As for 'no brushing of teeth', I think this will differ from person-to-person. I had no problems brushing my teeth throughout my two infections. That said, maybe b'cos I keep in view of my platelet count to make sure they're in OK levels. Just curious, is it true that the prognosis will be better for patients who have rashes, as compared to those who don't? Based on personal experiences, I noticed that once the rashes come out, I know it's almost the tailend of the illness.

Hi Most of the patients who pass on with dengue do not have a rash. This was from old data. Primarily I think it is because of late recognition. So I would thus say having rash is a good sign!

What can I do to help myself if I'm bitten during daytime and suspect it's an aedes aegypti (though I didnt get to see the bands on the leg), while waiting for the incubation? Upon the day of the bite, is there anything at all that I can do to prepare and alleviate the infection?

Is it right to say that a person can be bitten by an aedes aegypti mosquito but it's also possible that the mosquito that bit is not infected even though it is the right host for dengue virus? Is it true that the bite mark (redder and itchier than usual) and location (ankles and elbows) and being bitten during the day suggests it's a mosquito that's infected?
