Note: There a few times throughout the video where I said once the cell was infected, HBcAg "moves to surface of the virus" and what I meant to say was "moves to the surface of the cell". Also, I just want to point out that the "window period" is a temporary period during which BOTH HBsAg and anti-HBs are not detectable.

The video is very detailed, but I am having trouble making heads or tails of this scenario: HBsAg = Positive (Indicates an active infection) anti-HBs = Negative (Indicating there's no immunity) anti-HBc = Negative (Indicating there's no previous or ongoing infection) This seems to me like it may indicate an acute infection that is so early in its stages that the body has not had the chance to create antibodies to fight off the infection. And therefore, is the reason why BOTH the anti-HBs and anti-HBc are Negative. Is that a correct assessment? Or would this mean further blood work is needed to reach a determination on whether the infection is acute or chronic?
