Not all content can make it into a game, and we wish these "Zelda" features survived development. For this list, we’ll be looking at content from the “Zelda” series that didn’t make it into a final game, whether it was removed late or early in development. Our list includes Zelda’s Quest from “The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword” (2011), the Original Medallion Properties from “The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time” (1998), Ganondorf, Sheik, & Impa from “The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D” (2015), and more! I’m one of those people who hopes that they’ll release TP/WW HD to the switch. ( yes I know, roll your eyes. ) I really feel like there’s nothing that’s stopping Nintendo from doing it, and the thought of having 2 more major console titles on the go is a dream come true! If they’d of done the Zelda 2nd quest from SS HD, I’d of been happy beyond belief, but of course they didn’t… I personally feel like Zelda got a huge middle finger for they’re 25th anniversary honestly.

I agree with a lot of this! I’d love to see TP and WW on the Switch. I mean, they really didn’t do anything for the anniversary, so it’d be nice to have two great games reintroduced.

@@txmpanii I had SS back when it came out on Wii and I had started it then, but I never got off Skyloft…. With that being said, I loved that they brought it to the switch and I finally played and beat it! I really enjoyed it. So I can’t get why Nintendo basically shafted the Zelda series after the Mario 25th anniversary. Maybe as a fan I expect to much, but then again, I keep hoping that we’ll get an announcement saying they’re porting them over as well. They’ve done it with a lot of Wii U titles, so I don’t see what the big deal is other than time, finances, and the manpower to do it. I’m just wanting something to hold me over for BotW 2, I suppose…

Hopefully they release the original Wind Waker with its cell shaded graphics instead of the replaced ugly gradient shading graphics.

Yes, TP and WW are within my top fav Zelda titles. The fact that they haven’t released them on the switch yet (which would take little effort because we already have HD ports on the Wii U) means Nintendo straight up hates money.

Two things I’d love to see is the Beetle from SS again! I loved that item! The other thing is I’d love to have a rival type character that isn’t evil, but is jealous of Link and is tired of hearing how he’s the “ hero “, and at different points of the game is encountered and you have to battle them, or at some points they try to hinder your progress. As you get stronger, so do they, as a way to balance them out. They could even have tried to battle a sub-boss or fight a encampment of enemies and you have to team up with them, but it could be completely random as to keep it interesting and the enemies/sub-bosses get harder as you progress in the game. Just a wish of mine. I wouldn’t mind another series staple along with Link, Zelda, Ganondorph, etc. I mean, Tingles been in multiple games, so why not a new face. They gave me so teases over the years with Groose and Ravali but I want a full on “ Rival “.

I wonder how the Shadow, Spirit and Forest Medallions could have used if they had magical abilities. Could the Shadow Medallion have allowed Link to turn invisible? Would the Spirit Medallion have allowed Link to phase through certain barriers? Could Link have grown plants to solve puzzles with the Forest Medallion?

The forest medallion was conceived as the wind medallion, which is why its design is a vortex (or whirlwind) and why there are fans in the forest temple section of Ganons Castle. Most likely it would have been wind related and perhaps was repurposed into Farores wind. (Like the fire medallion becoming Dins fire as seen outside the shadow temple). I watched a video showing the medallions being used in an earlier build of the game and the spirit medallion turned link into a fairy that could fly around (like AoL). The shadow medallion made everything dark. The ice (water) medallion created ice (like ice arrows).

Um the magic meter has only been in 5 of the 19 ish games in the series. BOTW and TP are hardly the odd holdouts.

You forgot the hookshot from botw they couldn't figure out how to keep the game from crashing with it in so they left it out and they figured it would make the game to easy

It pisses me off that Termina Ganondorf, Termina Zelda and Termina Impa were all scrapped. I wanted to see those T.T

The Wind Waker suffered from unreasonable time constraints. Although it’s my favorite Zelda game, it still feels so empty. I know a lot of people are frustrated that BOTW 2 keeps getting delayed, but delays are preferable to an unfinished mess. Also, the triforce hunt should have just been another dungeon rather than a long and expensive map quest.

I will admit that the Zelda Games are fun and cool to do as they are. I just wish that they could have the missing items as those games and make those games more fun and rewarding to the players that had to go though the challenges with them in the first place. My hope is if they are not going to have those missing items and features as to those games, that the put them in a New Zelda Game so players can have fun with them as to that game. Good luck with making that type of game and good luck to everyone with the up coming Zelda Game.😊👍🏼🍀

The problem there is they can only be seen by children and Link is (physically) in his late teens. They could put in books about them or a reference to Enzo but the Minish themselves would be unlikely.

Still want a Female hero preplacing Link as the hero, rescuing a prince's kingdom or something for once, and have it be cannon. As much as I love Link and Zelda, basically grew up with the series, I wanna see the hero of Hyrule actually be the heroine of Hyrule. Nintendo needs a lot more strong females as the main playable character in their universes.

@@nworder4life the curse doesn't say anything about if they're male or female. Just 'blood of the goddess' and soul of the hero. Hero's can be female too

@@1spitfyre it doesn't have to say, if you paid attention to the game and the story of the franchise you would realize Link is a male, the spirit is male and the female Goddess has chosen him throughout time. It's romantic, it's the tale of God and mortal having their destinies intertwined. Link marries SS Zelda and they create the royal family of Hyrule and every re incarnation of the first king of Hyrule protects Hylias decendents. Now Nintendo never actually states this but if you pay attention to the ovetall story, the lore and have been playing the games, you can understand that which is unsaid.
