I have a question, both of my guinea pigs have been excessively drinking water recently and I'm not sure why because the weather is not hot in my country, it's actually gotten colder. I'm with them almost the entire day and they're eating and moving around just fine and there doesn't seem be any change in behaviour.. They're just drinking A LOT all of sudden

I have Guinea pigs and I’m not an expert but some guinea pigs just love to drink one of mine drinks a lot of water as well but he seems to be perfectly fine again I’m not an expert and I could be wrong so u might wanna do research but hope this helped 😊

That's a good observation. It is possible that they are drinking more because their hay is more dry or dusty. Make sure they have fresh water and clean their bottle regularly.

I clip piggies nails helping one lady … it has been over a year of my help but she still doesn’t want to do it herself She also has small cages , not enough hay and never picks them up No matter how much I tried to advice her by sending videos and even finding great deals on minimum size cages because she doesn’t have too “ much room” in her opinion nothing is working …. She is beating her own drums Too big honestly I don’t want to help her anymore but I feel sorry for piggies She also doesn’t have any med supplies She told me many times that they are lucky to have a home and not to be eaten in a wild 😞

I am really sorry to hear that. At least you are doing your best to give the little piggy a chance. It is true that every guinea pig should have all the perfect living conditions to be happy. But sometimes, it is not always possible. Some guinea pigs are very resilient and can adapt themselves to less than average conditions.

Is it OK if you trim your guinea pigs nails with a dog nail clipper

All of 7 pigs aren’t eating a lot of hay Maybe I need to cut down on veggies 😀 I don’t think I give too much but certainly more than a cup per pig I think they got spoiled Also quality of hay is much worse now even Oxbow and SPS and my pigs got very picky over time

You are taking good care of your piggies. And yes you are right that when they have too much veggies they might eat less hay. I understand and it is not always easy to get descent quality of hay all year long. If you have access to a farm or a horse supply store they have different type of hay and grass at lower cost.💕🥰🥰
