The recycling thing. I have a nice story, not Czech though. I have a friend from Poland, Lublin and there is a guy, sort of a legend, his nickname is Super sbieracz z Lublina (Super Collector from Lublin), basically the story is he was homeless, he was collecting bottles, returning them, he made enough money to open a kebab stand and from that kebab stand he made enough money to open a kebab pub. Now he runs a somewhat reputable kebab pub. Inspiring stuff, I say.

Regarding the beer, I like the Radegast 12 for its bitterness. This is when I want to enjoy the beer, when i am doing some harder work and get sweated, some softer, watery beers are most welcomed, even kind of radlers (fruity soft beers)...

Sadly if only they could also serve it right. The only sensible options for beers are either get it in the brewery or bottled :( Pilsner offers pubs all the services and all to serve the beer properly but pubs don't want that deal and then mess it up almost always. It's a huge difference getting a beer served properly at a brewery versus the svil one gets in most pubs. It's all about proper storage, cleanliness of the system and how much of CO2/air crap they pump into it. And you can fill your glass yourself too, it's not much about that if you do that right or wrong. Many beers are good but the pubs mishandle them which ruins quality.

I was in silesian town of Karviná and there is a prince brewery Larish. This factory is brewery, pub and restaurant all at the same time and they also have a children´s corner (not a beer garden) for children to play while parents can drink their beer and eat some food.

My favourite is Matuška Raptor (11° IPA) and from the bottled ones that are available in all supermarkets Pilsen Urquell 12° and Kozel 11°. Generally the ones on the bitter end of the spectrum.

If you like beer, you might want to visit either Pilsen or Žatec. Both are beer cities with interesting museums and brewery tours. They both have beautiful architecture and a very scenic landscape around them. And both are connected by a single railway line that runs five times a day.

Kozel by far my favorite beer you can get in a grocery store in CZ. Occasionally though, I’ll stumble upon a small pivovar outside of the bigger towns that I like better. Problem is that you may not be able to buy any bottles, and you sure as hell won’t be able to find it in Prague.

Hey André. If you really love beer, definitely check out Clock Brewery. It may seem a bit too pricy at first, but it is definitely worth every crown. One of the best, If not the best brewery in our country. In summer months, you can visit them in Potštejn, where you can get a draft Clock and also visit a Potštejn castle, which is also very nice

Věřím že v Londýně, stejně jako v každém velkém městě, vypadáš divně když vesele oslovujes cizince a chápu že se ti líbí když s tebou v našich vesnicích hezky mluví... Já jsem z Prahy a když přijedu do Anglie, miluji právě ten respekt a lásku, vzájemnost a přátelství a upřímnost,kterou mi Angličané dávají najevo...Chelmsford,Redditch,Dover....To je fenomén velkých měst,nezdravit, podezírat a bát se útoků nožem,nebo skupin kriminálníků.Mala města a vesnice jim tuhle anonymitu nenabízí a Policie by je na vesnici okamžitě vyřešila a dopadla je.Jsem rád že točíš videa, protože český národ má v sobě stovky let velmi špatných zkušeností s kriminalitou černých lidí, spíš z Indie než z Afriky,ale když lidé uvidí tvojí úroveň, pomůže to všem.Zivot nemusí být stres... Takže díky za tvůj přínos a doufám že bude líp, protože největší svinstva vždycky dělají a chystají "politici" a podle všeho se máme na co těšit... My most favourite Czech beer is probably Polička Záviš 12°/Otakar 11°. There are too many various brands and I can say that Gambrinus and Bakalář is at the lower level than Pilsner Urquell 12°, Starobrno Medium/Drak, Kanec 12°, Dačice 11°, Krakonoš 12°, Svijany 11°, Zlosyn 13°, Poutník 11°, Vosavar 11°, Krušovice 12°, Braník 11°, Radegast 12°, Kozel 11°, Primator 25° and so on. You are right. There are too many options. I highly recommend Polička beer. In case if you wanted to get drunk and save money, go to Lidl grocery store and get one of those named Argus 16° (black can). It has got about 7% vol. of alcohol and if you drink four of them, you will be probably a bit tipsy.

Budvar je pivo s nepivní chutí. Je nasládlý a když s kamarádem vypijeme napůl basu, bolí nás hlava. Velmi špatné pivo. jednou jsem vypil 27 kousků Svijanské 11°, točené, a nebylo mi nic, ani jsem nebyl moc opilý a bylo mi moc fajn. Tak se pozná dobré pivo.

@@Aveniz Ani jedno z oněch piv nepiju. Radegast má jalovou a divnou chuť, Kozel je prostě hnusný, Plzeň je strašně slabé pivo s takovou neutrální chutí, cewelkově jsou všechny nanic. Plzeň má tu výhodu, že se jí nedá ožrat (což je pro někoho nevýhoda). Je slabá a dobře se vstřebává. Nejlepší piva jsou hutná, nepasterovaná, z menších pivovarů, třeba Únětice.

Regarding the first point, it's a common custom to leave empty beer bottles in piles on the prague Náplavka when you party till morning, not because people are lazy, but so homeless people can simply bring them back to the grocery store and get some money. Usually that makes them enough money to feed and water them for that day, or better, they can accomodate themselves for the night in one of the many lodging houses, namely for example the famous Hermes, a boat that specifically accomodates people in need for a small charge (around 100 Czk)

Mám ráda Pilsner Urquell obzvlášť v hospodě kde ho mají tankové. Taky přímo ve sklepení pivovaru. Mám ráda regionální piva třeba ze Záneckéjo pivovaru v Chyších, z pivovaru Svatý Florián v Lokti, z Kynšperského pivovaru a taky Chodovar. Trocha nostalgie-hned vedle sloužil můj táta na vojně.

Hi Andre, I live in South Bohemia in Budweis/ České Budějovice, where we have 2 historical breweries (Budvar - you know it very well and Samson) and many others in the area. Because my grandfather drank (beer) and taught me to drink them as well Regent (it is brewed in Třeboň, light and also dark beer is good) and Samson, so my favorite brands of beer are Samson and Regent. I think they are better than Budvar and Gambrinus.

And about the beer - Svijany is my most prefered one recently, but it changes all the time :D A year or two ago I'd probbably say Pilsner Urquell or Radegast. Hodně krásných zážitků v naši malé zemičce! I když to tu perfektní zdaleka není, pořád je tu sposta důvodů, proč ji milovat - ať se ti takové jen hromadí!

My favourite beer is "Tesák" ("Fang"). It comes from a very small brewery in South Moravia, near Austria borders. It's delicious, with rich flavor and there are very many options (classic 11° or a very dark beer with sweet accent to it or even a special Tesák 14°, which I've never tried but I heard it's flawless) Anyways, thank you for a great video and I hope you will like our little country for a long long time ^^

I'd say my favourite beer is Hubertus from Kácov. But what is great since quite recently is how many small breweries is there. They are more unique than more massive brands and I'd say the taste is more prominent.

Pilsner Urquell all šaty long. Except of private beermakers, nothing comes close to it. If you really want to try a different level of beer, I highly suggest brand called "Clock", my favorites are their 12° and 14° Twist, It's a bit pricy (from 50Kč for 0,5l upwards) but that's how it goes with all quality stuff right? 😃

Ahoj. When you were talking about nature and landscape you mentioned while driving there's forest on one side and grass on the other. Does grass mean only the green plant growing from the ground or can you use it to describe something like "louka" in czech? Or do you have some other word for "louka"? 🤔 Great video btw, I agree with everything

I'm from Bratislava, Slovakia and the beer I love best is Budwar. As a child I used to prefer Stein, which was beer from my hometown. Unfortunately Stein beer doesn't exist anymore.

Oh man nothing beats budvar, especially the draught one called "kroužek" if you havenť tried it yet I recommend that. However it is not common in pubs (I think) so you will have to find some special pub (they are called "budvarka")

my favourite beer is california, it's APA, made by Matuška brewery, best served at "Dva Kohouti" in Karlín

Ah, beer. I don't drink much, I just like the beer taste and all the different flavors of different brands. My personal favourites are: Bottled - Kozel dark, Can - Birell Semi-dark or Botanicals (non-alcoholic), On tap - Svijany, Bernard; Tank - Pilsner Urquell; Small breweries - Volt (amazing beers!). Also, everywhere I travel I mainly miss the variety of beers on tap provided in local pubs even in the smallest rural villages. I mean, typical Czechs are never gonna drink a bottle of 0.33l Stella Artois or Beck's for 3 EUR if they are used to a tapped 0.5l Kozel for 30 Kč. 😂 I even bought Kozel in Israel for around 4 EUR when I saw their other selection of beers.

You food beer choices.. I agree with you on that too no Czech would really want to spend 4 EUR when they are use to paying 30 Kč its a big difference. From my experience the small local village pubs are the the best for beer varieties and good prices.
