You know Zirro, that fluttering menace that always drops bombs on Links head? As an echo it works REALLY well if you rapidly spam it, because it'll instantly drop another bomb each time.

The number one thing that I wish I knew was that even the trailers would contain too many spoilers. I avoided the 3rd trailer because the 2nd one gave away too much and you unfortunately can't unsee it once you've seen it. I avoided all other content till I finished the game and was so glad I did. The reveal of the Link echo and sword fighter mode was amazing to discover while playing and I was shocked that they put it into the 3rd trailer. For the next Zelda game, I'm not going to watch anything but the announcement trailer (because I probably won't know what I'm watching till I'm in the middle of it, otherwise I'd avoid it too). I know I'm going to get the game regardless of what they put in the trailer.

I wish I'd known about some of the echoes that "delete" enemies... like you can place a Deku Baba and use bind to move an enemy into chomping range, or place a water block and use bind to drag an enemy inside and drown them. Also, getting the Platboom echo would probably have been nice, I didn't get that until after beating the story, and there are plenty of applications for it.

I wasn't too interested in this one, but since it's a zelda, I bought it anyways. But boy, was I wrong. It is easily the best top-down zelda title of all (my opinion). The creativity, love to details, very rounded graphics style and tuns of references to all the past games. It's somewere between nostalgica and something completely new. Also the world is more open, you can just explore everything from the start but it is still giving you the classical dungeon experience. I felt the game was a bit easy, but there is the "hero" mode, so that your smoothies actually make sense to use. I want more of this, I played every zelda, and I probably won't stop buying them until I die. Just give me more of this.

My favorite way to defeat enemies in this game is the BeatEmUps method of spawning a bunch of sea urchins. It's just so ridiculously funny.

The best experience for this game is to figure it out yourself and get creative! Also just a hint, the water block is absolutely one of the best echos you will get in the entire game, helps so much with vertical climbing.

For some enemies, you can also bind and drag them into the water cube to drown them. It feels so wrong lol.

I'm more of a Platboom man myself, especially when you can summon more than one, use the frog ring to jump high enough, and create an infinite Platboom staircase.

Things I discovered all to late enemies you normally can't kill you now can Pick up birds to guide You can climb walls up amazingly high with the right echos use spawn at distance Some times you just need to bind to and Cary a thing, not echo it. Use smoothies Play all mini games twice You can bind some enemy attacks The horse gets better time when not dashing You can bind while doing other activities

The rising platform is easier for vertical traversal. Zelda's bed restores 2 hearts so it's better than the gerudo bed.

Literally my most used echo was the platform. If you ride it up and cast another, the second goes even higher. Basically infinite height

The level 1 boomerang warriors were one of my favorites. Targeting a stronger enemy and holding them in place while they get hit with 4 at a time just decimates them

If you're left handed, like me, and find hitting and holding right tab uncomfortable, you can hold down the L button instead and it does the same thing. The tip about using the notebook is very smart and effective, especially if you're worried your finger will slip in a hectic combat situation, but this alternate access doesn't seem to be broadly listed, yet I fund it really helpful.

One echo I don’t think is talked about enough is the spider from the 2D section of the first dungeon. It creates a ladder on the spot so long as you have a roof (though there may be a height limit) and you can pick it up and throw it to create more webs. They disappear with the spider, not when the spider’s separated. It even works in 3D if there’s a roof (such as dungeons). Somewhat situational, but it would have instantly solved the puzzle at 12:42. I could see it being used in speedruns.

Tip when sleeping on ANY bed get on fill heart get off. The initial heart granted at that speed always only happens on that 1st heart. You can essentially triple hearts earned. Faster.

The most helpful echo for movement for me was easily the water block. So very useful in both outworld and dungeons. Also, the cloud, but that you get past the halfway point.

Ya know i forgot the spider can crawl on walls so i never used it despite being a loot goblin when it came to echoes as i got em all and Spear and or Sword Moblin level 2 and 3 early on is insane if you can take the enemies down first for the echo

I approached the combat as if Zelda is a summoner, and what is one thing that is annoying about fighting summoners? Spamming. I spam my echoes as much as I can, especially once I can summon 4 of them. I circle around the tougher enemies and respawn my echoes to my advantage where they sometimes stun lock enemies.

Oh yeah and that as well the best way to recover Hearts I found is constantly using the bed but make sure you have your team out to protect you while enemies are around and recover Hearts 10 times faster I think it's like three hearts at a time would be copy Zelda's bed it's way more comfortable and it builds up your hearts faster

I'm stuck on the puzzle where u move the grave in the graveyard and there's ghosts staring at the lady's grandfather's teddy bear and in the next room there's a switch behind a brick wall...I swear I've tried everything any pointers? I thought it had something to do with just throwing the ghost through the wall since it's the only echo that can even go through walls but alas it did nothing

1. No, you are immune to your own echoes no matter what 2. Yes, you can spawn the same echo over and over again (as long as it has a cheap cost) 3. No, they stay forever unless the die or you spawn more

The moblin echoes are annoying. They take FOREVER to throw their spear, boomerang, or shoot their bow (especially the spear...good lord). Octorocks are awesome early game too. You can make a wall around you and they will fire quick and often and you can just spam and replace as needed. The peahat is stellar, just replace it often so it keeps engaged. It wi lose targeting at times, but will immediately look for a target when put out fresh.

Why does NOBODY target *before* summoning. Youre wasting precious battle time putting yourself back in the crosshairs of another enemy having to walk between them and your summon for the lock on. When you summon an enemy, theyre in instant agrro and if you spawn them in the path of an enemy to attack, theyll spawn in their attack animation and all youll have to do is either gab and walk the attack into the enemy or spawn just in front of them. 100% of the time when you z target after summoning you z target your own echo and have to do EXTRA extra work to untarget, walk around and target the other enemy. Its just so much clutter. Dont put yourself through that. Fight smarter, not harder
