If you totally don't want sugar in your drink, you say Barli kosong, Milo kosong, Kopi kosong, Teh kosong, tak mau gula. Kosong in English means "empty" and gula means "sugar" and tak mau means "don't want" but in Mamak and food stalls and shops kosong means totally no sugar in the drink

I already sunscibed Suna's KZbin Channel. If you like to learn about Japanese high end kind of life in Malaysia, you can watch her videos. Very interesting. I didn't know before that all Japanese needs for a comfortable life can be easily found in KL especially. It is quite expensive though for normal Malaysian standards.

One of the noticeable things that I love about your videos is when you would drop some random tips and advice (like over here in 9:40), as though you are speaking directly to your fellow Japanese friends back home- it's almost like an encouragement haha "Yes! Come to Malaysia! Follow these tips/advice and you will be fine!" :) I wouldn't be surprised if your videos actually do provide the gentle push and motivation needed for some people to finally make that move in the future :') anyway, i love your content as always👏🏼

regarding Malaysian always gave to the homeless or needy, for us Muslims, it relates a lot to the religion we follow that is Islam, we are always reminded to focus on the afterlife, hence we always strive to do good in our daily lives despite how little, actually begging for money are not condoned in our religion, unless its to a point where surviving a day is in question, and we cant do it excessively to a point where we can live comfortably off it, i heard many beggars although not all of which make a fortune out of begging, so i understand why the Japanese has the mindset not to gave this people, but then again not all who beg are out laziness nor making it a job, if we understood the situation regarding our community or country, we can see the real reason why there are many who in that state, thus why many here regardless of race and religion are not reluctant to gave even a little to help

Wow thank you KAZ for introducing Nasi Dagang. It was one of my favorite East Coast meals and signature dish of Terengganu. There is Nasi Dagang Kelantan too which have brown colored rice but I love Terengganu ones better! Also Kelantanese Nasi Kerabu and Laksam are one of my favorite too. You can try looking for Terengganu nasi minyak, these two with nasi dagang is a staple breakfast meals that you guys will love. Many people missed out east coast dishes when they're visiting Malaysia, and they didn't know about these!

Come to Terengganu to find more "Japanese" tastes. Terengganu food is not as spicy as other parts of Malaysia, it's a perfect balance of spiciness and sweetness with a hint of umami from the sea. 1. Pulut Gaul Nyior For breakfast especially on weekends, we would have sticky rice with shredded coconut, eaten with either ikan kukus (steamed fish) or ikan masin (salted fish). The sticky rice would be made into rice ball shape before shredded coconut is added. Sometimes, we would toast some rice to add crunchy texture to the dish. 2. Nasi Dagang Nasi dagang is combination of normal rice and sticky rice, steamed with coconut milk and fenugreek. The fish used is ikan tongkol/Ayer (Skipjack Tuna) which has that nice flaky texture. 3. Nasi Lemak While you can find nasi lemak anywhere, in Terengganu normally nasi lemak is eaten with fish. So when you order nasi lemak, you will get coconut rice with fish (normally skipjack tuna or mackerel) cooked in sweet sambal sauce. 4. Celup Tepung Our version of Tempura, normally eaten as afternoon snacks. You can find deepfried ikan (fish), sotong (squid), udang (prawn). Normal fish used is kembung (mackerel) or Pari Tuka (a type of stingray). These stalls can be found normally along the beach, so you can eat with a nice view of the sea.

I noticed that. People in Negeri Sembilan and Selangor love spicy foods unlike in Terengganu or Sarawak. My Terengganuan brother-in-law had to learn that the hard way when he joined our family. He can’t tolerate spicy foods (although the dish was rather mild for the rest of us 😂)

Sugar in drinks are default..if you really don't want any sugar order with word 'kosong' with the name of the drinks..example - Teh/Kopi/Milo 'O' Ais Kosong for iced drinks or Teh/Kopi/Milo 'O' Kosong for hot drinks, but it dont work with drinks with condensed milk like teh tarik or teh ais because condensed milk already super sweet. You just can order 'Kurang manis' for less sweet for drinks with condensed milk.

"On the way" - if i hear someone telling me this, I'd automatically ask that person back: "on the way ke mana? (on the way to where?) toilet???" Yup, i need a truthful clarification straight away so I can plan my life better instead of being kept guessing... BTW (not OTW) I suggest kaz (and suna also) to slot in 1 or 2 japanese words (or phrases) in every video that we malaysians can learn its translation, contextual meaning and sample uses from you. On the other hand malaysian commenters will continue telling useful malaysian words or phrases that you guys can use. So this will be in line with the spirit of helping each other, as well as understanding each other's culture better. Can this be a permanent challenge for you guys??

As a Japanophile, I always explain to my non-japanophile friends that Japaneses consume alcohol so much just because of the stressful life. You guys need to relief that and one of the ways is alcohol. And you stating that here really proves me right 😁 Thank you for introducing Suna Malaysian local food. 3 months in Malaysia & Sunami-san already know a lot of our unique culture. Haha. All of my foreign friends always said that the first time that they started living in Malaysia they need to learn to adapt to our Malaysian time. Lol

10:58 why does the rider wear a reverse jacket? the answer is the weather: Malaysians usually wear short-sleeved shirts. Wear an upside-down jacket intended to protect your hands from the scorching heat. If worn overall as usual, it will increase body temperature in hot weather. So, they only protect the necessary part which is the hand.
