San Andreas has a kind of boring theme but gta 3 I can play for hours and so can I San Andreas and Vice city. Despite the theme in gta San Andreas I find it cool they thought to add hairstyles, clothes shops,and car tuning. Also San Andreas storyline has a deep message that revolves around family and friends where as 3 is just like you are a fetcher. Vice city is pretty much also fetching but a bit more friendship and a great unique feeling and cool features we first saw like helicopters.

Goku Black I always love comments like this, because you can always tell it's from little kids. You may play Vice City now and think "wow these graphics suck", but back when it came out, guess what? They were good. That was the standard back then. No one was playing Vice City at the time of its release and thinking "the gameplay is good, but the graphics aren't".

Exactly, your entire point was that they didn't focus on graphics, but the fact of the matter is, developers have always been trying to push the boundaries of a system's graphical capabilities. Games like Resident Evil on the PS1 were ground breaking for their graphics. You seem to be comparing the graphics back then, to the graphics we have now, which is just silly.

I dont think they put the Claude newspaper in Vice City, because the bank robbery at the start of GTA 3, was set around the late 90's (possibly around 1997 or 98 one of the two) and Vice City is set in the 80's, so it wouldn't have made sense according to the timeline. But I absolutely adore the Easter eggs, that are featured across the GTA series.

Vice City remains my all-time favorite game. I played it on a friend's Playstation, and when it came out on Xbox, I was in heaven. Having grown up in the 1980s, I never ceased to marvel at the details of this game. The licence plates on the cars, for example, were based on the 1979-86 design, while the cars are non-copyright versions of real-life counterparts. The Deluxo was always one of my favorites and it was nice to see it again. I also loved to take a Bloodring Banger and drive that on city streets. I designed and wore a Love Fist tour shirt just for fun, and occasionally I'd see people do double-takes and freak out when they realized what the shirt said. Finally, I liked the scope of this game more than San Andreas, which was so big and had so many missions that I'd get bored and never finish it. I'm not much of a gamer, but Vice City was the perfect game for me. Finally, The Simpsons ran a couch gag a few years ago that had more than a few similarities to Vice City (as well as Miami Vice and other fun 80s shows). It's funny and worth checking out. There's crazy details in this too, such as the use of the Bell 222 helicopter, the helicopter used in the show Airwolf.

7:11 That's not a "silenced Colt". It's actually a .475 Wildey auto pistol, a very cool magnum power hand gun that was first sold in the mid eighties. I wish Rockstar had used this as the top hand gun instead of the Colt Python. I agree with you about the other changes. Most of them were for the better. btw, I have the Vice City "Lance Vance" poster from Gamepro magazine on my wall and it's the "old" black shirt version of Lance. He never really looked "correct", now I know why.

6:11 Nope, not a nod, just non-trashed. Originally VC was going to be an expansion to III, there are tons of leftover models, textures, scripts and audio files from GTA III that simply weren't cut from the game.

I'm actually glad that they decided to go with the green and white police cars, which resemble actual Miami police cars of the 80s, and that they got Philip Michael Thomas to voice Lance Vance instead of Eddie Murphy. Don't know if you were right about he silenced Colt, but the icon for it is actually an awesome weapon called the Wildey Magnum. It fired .45 Winchester Magnum, so basically a .44 Magnum pistol, and was gas operated like the Desert Eagle. Would have been an awesome in game weapon.

if you look more in the beta version of Vice City's map, take a look near of Hyman Memorial Stadium. well? did you see at the 2:13? well, there's a line near of it. saying a road, bridge or a highway. which means could be the road exit of Vice City. idk why got cutted from the game. it could be awesome to have a road exit. but now you have to get out of VC in the air.
